The same thing happened to me, I thought it was something on my phone that was preventing the animation from running.

I had the same problem but I managed to play using a save in the part where MC meets Kat in the park and then they go to the ice cream shop.

I loaded my last save from October 2023, the game has hardly moved forward in 15 months, I will be amazed if this game is not abandoned. I really like the characters, but the development rate is one of the lowest I have seen and there are a few render artifact errors creeping in. Hoping for the best, while planning for the worst

that can happen on any game, that's why it's better to have multiple saves.
