Can this be played with joiplay? Both .exe files on main folder don't seem to work, just confirming before giving up

hey maybe im missing something but I download it, extract the folder and run the game.exe, it boots up and the main menu has the background but no options, no sound nothing except the background and the prompt telling me to use the mouse wheel and mouse to click (no options to choose). And when I tab out for any reason at all it freezes and then proceeds to not respond. I have no idea how to fix this and I've tried most things I could think of. I haven't found anyone with a similar problem. I have a very strong computer so that is not it. please help!
(EDIT): I have a feeling that the problem is attached to WOLF RPG. I have played other RPGS but I just tried another WOLF RPG and I wasn't able to press start new game.

Afaik Ai was only used for backgrounds and it is separate install from other colored files. The night scenes etc are supposedly still colored by hand.

Jhnnn's stuff was colored by AI, presumably trained on Daeson's progress I dunno if Stable Diffusion needs some original data to work with or not.
They might have changed direction after the whole coloring explosion but at the time Jhnnn wasn't hiding it.

I believe you failed to mention this also has FFFox mod installed? No mention of that and no mention of version you installed. Please be more clear and credit the right people for their work.
Also, dont put your save file as a default save for game. Let people play their own saves, but you can include yours as optional thing. Or at least keep most save slots free and just one for "skip ahead" if ppl for some reason want to skip entire game and progression (which is big part of the fun tbh).

Both versions are pretty much identical content-wise, just different translations and decensors (i think?).

The situation was very confusing and im still not exactly sure, but AFAIK Jhnnn originally colored everything by hand and only used ai for generating new backgrounds. But because of that the ai conversation was started and quickly took direction of attempting to "quickly do heavy work using ai in all images". And then the trainwreck started going off the rails.
So according to this quote Jhnnn was doing work manually, but was open to experimenting with ai. Jhnnn got into heavy fire as a result and Daseson nearly gave up on their work in the process. Despite Jhnnn never intending to "replace daseson with ai" as some people made it sound.
I still think Jhnnn should not touch the backgrounds or at least not try to replace them with soulless midjourney slop, but he did do actual work recoloring scenes by hand so give him some credit for that.

Yes, there are no names given to either sister or brother as far as i know. Possibly just game design choice or maybe theres more meaning behind it since pretty much everyone calls mc "a brother". Who knows?
This goes back as far as Sister Travel where everybody called you "Big Brother" too despite the other girls not actually being your little sisters (they are blood related in both Monochrome games though). And if you want to go even further back there was another older and shorter game where there was simply a "Senpai" (You) and a "Kouhai".
