Okay, so here's the deal: as expected, the scripts for the game were almost entirely in japanese. This was what the dev used for instant casting:

I'm not familiar with that one and without being able to read the instructions I could only paw at the air by trying a few typical modifications to that note to get them to work. Unfortunately the original phrasing must have been very off because nothing I tried affected its performance.

However, I -am- familiar with a Yanfly instant cast script for Ace. What I did was install that script and set all the burst skills to use that one instead:

I tested it out in the tutorial battle and it worked perfectly~

Burst skills shouldn't consume a turn but they do. It's a bug.

You're right.
Developers used the note strings to trigger different functions, and translating that notes breaks the function.

Here's the patch, unzip it into the main folder

Sadly the last update game with a gallery and save support different from the previous version, so you can import your game save, but not the gallery unlock.

As an aside, I know lot of peoples whine about the dog being in the title and such without having much in the game.
It's basically because he's the reason the MC meet Rusica, and therefore go on her adventure. Plus, without it to play tank in the party, you wouldn't be able to progress much without tons of grinding.

Thank you! The passive skills were not working (Atk up, HP up, etc.) Your patch also fixes those.

NOTICE: I'm adapting the translation to the latest version (which was kindly provided by Bryanis), and I'll update the first post soon.
For those who have already downloaded the game, the differences I've found are a few text additions and some variations in the event CGs, but nothing that alters the storyline.

Green is to the left of purple does not mean it has to be adjacent. Just to the left.

sucks that if you beat the boss on the bridge before returning and then going to the next city you still get the return to hometown and talk to red hair person cutscene- except they are in the other city so you end up talking to nobody lol. not sure its fixed in the update cuz i finished the game before i saw it.

also burst skills not taking a turn seems op
