When I used to back this, I tried to warn the current set of devs that 'we'll work real hard' wasn't a plan and that the scope of their game is completely bloated but they never listened. The anime protagonist approach doesn't work, you need to plan to make something you actually have the resources to finish. Gonna throw out another 'I told you so,' but it's going to fall on deaf ears and they'll continue this charade until they run out of funding. There are a lot of games that have slow progress but still put out sizeable updates when they do roll them out, but doesn't seem like the devs are really working on meaningful content anymore. Maybe if the number of features is making development impossible you should cut some of them out? I'm going to die laughing if this somehow actually releases in 30 years with all the features they wanted and then the big Nentondo hits them with a cease and desist for violating copyright.
Their Patreon alone brings in at least 3K in revenue based off the number of paid subscribers, and that's assuming everyone is just backing at the $3 level. Until backers wake up and abandon the project this garbage train will continue.
Funny thing is, the OG head of the project that got booted off already has a functioning game with way more content and which actually updates frequently. It's not a game about a furry icon character though so it's never going to get the same level of funding.
