when you encounter bugs, issues
please post what/ where were you doing before the bug happened?
sometimes just restarting that area resolves the issue >> have you tried restarting?
are you using any MODS? some MODS are outdated and just prone to crashing but somehow still works
this game has lines of jank code

when you activate MODS, you need to restart the game after each activation/deactivation
used Roleplay S - 0.6.3.7, cheat mod. cant really produce said error if its at the start of the game

Red eyes are in the vanilla game.
Normally it's only accessible through Rebirth/New Game+, but you can use the cheat menu mod to change Lona's race to abomination

sometimes removing MODS mid game can lead to crashes
when you activate/deactivate a MOD, save and exit the game and restart it
