Why does everybody love this game??? Seriously, I don‘t get it.

because a lot of people are of the dark souls era, they like hard games.

Lona is actually fairly robust in terms of combat, and failure is punished, but in a way that benefits the player (rapeloops, they actually give exp, sooo...), the way you approach a combat situation depends on what method you prefer, do you fight straight up? stealth and lay traps? become a succubus and fuck the enemy (where possible) to death?

also the game is fairly easy to mod if you know how.

the fact however, is that Lona is just an average person in this game, she isn't super-empowered, have abilities beyond the most other characters in the game or anything like that... and even at max level (unmodded) can end up dead or... yeah...
the game's goal is to survive, and especially in the early game, that's a challenge.

also the fact the game is updated quite regularly, which is always a plus.

The current version is 0.8.6.1.3 this version (0.8.6.1.1) is declared bugged on the itchio page, you can find the latest version 0.8.6.1.2 for free on the official vk site.

Yeah it gets updated frequently but every time I look at the changelogs its just a hand full of small bug fixes doesn't look like anything significant is ever added but I also haven't played it in many months just look at the changelogs so maybe im wrong.

i mean there no single scene is consensual. Some scenes are soul shattering Brutal ! On my 4 hours of playthrough, She get peed and get Sh*tted on her ! Literally everything is browner than chris brown !
And my glass heart can't take it anymore to look upon it !

Well, that's just the realism of becoming broken. Realism is my favorite part of the game. I guess difficulty is subjective but I mean it's labeled as a survival game and unlike so many other 'real' games that's actually a challenge, especially at the start, making it a worthwhile loop.

Most go "oh oh, what you gonna do to survive?" as you become an unkillable god after punching three trees and biting skeleton to get its sword loose.

I still think the game is mediocre, but I mean, comparably so I guess, among other porn games it might actually get finish and is actually quite good so I guess it's a king among peasants.

Once the developer finishes the game (if they finish) it, I think with another year of solid polish and a few QoL stuff, it might actually become a truly amazing game.

I'm 1000% convinced what really draws people to this game are the fetishes though.

I don't exactly agree with most of what you said, though this one sticks out the most as it's not even true, I mean like what fetishes exactly are being heavily discussed by people here? As far as I've seen, we're mostly discussing the "game" part of the game, which is excellent, while there's almost no discussion regarding the H part, which I agree, is mediocre atm.

Not everybody but difficulty just for difficulty has it`s fans. Also here SCARY survival, from city boys to city boys. Far from realistic, but good play on someones fears.

The real question is why this game is not more famous, I think that if they balanced it better and finished completing the empty parts of the game and added more content it would be much more popular.

I understand you buddy, Sara is a lovely girl who has been through a lot of misfortunes and they rarely show mercy to her, but that's the point of living in a dark fantasy world and if you want to keep her safe, you're going to have to use everything you can. that it is within your reach to survive and leave the island, that is why you can approach the game in different ways without restrictions, that is what makes this game great, it is difficult to get out of a precarious situation to emphasize how cruel it is. that world.

Too bad after a bit its just the same 4 h-images w a few game over images
Cant wait tills there's more, it's really well made

Bit of a grind to start as you always need food n are constantly hungry
Also gotta grind out levels before you can do anything unfortunately
Sleeping at Inn restores all but costs pretty much all you made sexing

Hopefully these get addressed n aren't a feature

I think in my perspective as someone who enjoys the game-play (although I have only played it 3-4 times)
is this game alienates quite a few people
the audience is limited to people who either like challenges avoiding the torture and rape/ or being tortured and raped
and the scenes are just repeats of each other
I dont think adding more content to the game will change anything, if they make it past the tutorial and dont quit, then the first time they experience the rape loop they probably will

not saying its a bad game I think its a pretty good game (once you learn how to play) but I think the content itself deters alot of people
