Grab the 0.9.3.0 as well on the first post of this thread since Water Nova's damage in the latest version has been doubled, so it wouldn't be a fair comparison if we go from that, since we're mainly talking about experience that happened on older version. This is a save for 0.9.3.0, with Lona being right in front of the captain at the port. Give him the gold and rebirth to respec trait points, then go to the bank to grab the Vile Scepter. You can also use this save for 0.9.4.0.4 but you need to rebirth in order to avoid any fatal bugs.

Alright just watched the full vid. For one, you used Electric Discharge 90% of the time so this was more a demonstration of this skill instead of Vile Scepter. In the rare case you used Vile Scepter, it was on a single mob, and many of those leeches died or took time to get a hit on the mob when they were summoned while there were many mobs around. This is an extremely niche use of Vile Scepter and the only time those leeches are somehow useful is when the ennemies they're attacking aren't fighting back. With Abomination Totem's tentacle and the other magic items you could have saved several amount of stamina while taking care of those archers and every mobs around the area without getting so much hit on you.

that last statement made it sound like Vile Scepter is good against multiple mobs, or rather multiple archer mobs that are gathered in high numbers in a single area, but I didn't see that demonstrated in the video.
except you forgot my very first post, "vile scepter is best counter against gob archers and runners ", I never said to use it on everything. because discharge kills everything easily but can't do it with archers and runners so vile scepters become alternative to it, you can see as leech chases archer you can put discharge on their path if you want fast kill @3:10 or use it to take away archer's aggro on you @4:10.
you don't go vile on everything. it is good for multiple archers except I didn't get the archer goblins encounters because RNG, as you see you get plenty of relax time when leeches are chasing archers you just pop them out indefinitely for multiple archers. thing is we don't need to buff it to be more OP, lona is already easy as it is, eccma buff lona (23~27 def mage, 80% of mobs hits for 1 damage) so much + mobs attack like molasses now, the game is a joke now that's why I deleted the game in the first place because it's too easy now.

A made "save fix" to allow lodaing saves maked with mods that now is deleted in game.

It delets states, items, skills from player data if it doesnt exist in game before start playing after loading save.
It helps with deleted mods and changed load order to.

Im planning on playing this game soon so i gotta ask, is it worth playing the older translated version and wait for it to be translated (if it ever will) or is the mtl decent enough where it doesnt take away from the quality of the game

EDIT: Further digging through code reveals that the Mod Settings class is missing from Eccma's merge of UMM, though I don't know if that is the cause of the error.

Play the latest and process it with the MTL tool.
The older "translated" version is not actually translated, but has merely been pre-MTL'd.
For the most part, the MTL'd stuff is decent enough while still being fairly obvious that it is MTL. In general, only the new stuff is MTL quality.
Ideally the order of installing the latest version is as follows: (after downloading everything required)
1. Extract the latest version of the game.
2. Merge in the latest text from the LonaLang project on gitgud.
3. Translate the remaining untranslated text using the MTL Tool.
Took some time to make the best reference videos to show just how bad Vile Scepter is, especially in comparison to its cousin the Abomination Totem. Vile Scepter is 20 WT while Abomination Totem is only 6 WT btw, and I will keep repeating this to show just how absurd Vile Scepter's heavy weight is when you see how bad its skill is.

yes. Previous builds have more mods updated for that version. Role play -S is huge.
