New version: https://f95zone.to/threads/lonarpg-v0-5-2-1-eccma417.49993/page-419#post-5509166

Added more cheats based on what people have been posting about. I continue to hijack the Summon Menu mod that was previously posted.

F6 adds Barter Points
F7 heals a wound
F8 restores health, stamina, and food to max.
F9 opens a menu with:

  • Summon (a list of objects, NPCs, etc.)
  • Heal (same as F8)
  • Heal Wounds (same as F7)
  • Give Money (same as F6)
  • Give Trait Points
  • Make me a Moot (includes the trait)
  • Make me a human (includes removing the Moot trait)
  • Exhausted (-100 stamina)
  • Make me morally good (sets morality to 100)
  • Make me more evil (subtracts 10 morality)
so is that the cheat file or outdated? link to page has no file. No say on where to put it either? If I played would be simpler to use the mod then figure out what the fuck is what via editor

This is the correct link: https://f95zone.to/threads/lonarpg-v0-5-7-0-eccma417.49993/post-5509166

There's some kind of fuckery that happened with the URL of the link to the cheats mod that no one has bothered to fix for some reason.

Would be nice if the mods would update the first page with this link, so as not to confuse users.......

I'm on Windows 10 and nope, no errors or anything.
Hrrrrmmmmmm....

So the obvious suggestion is that you're missing the correct RPGMaker runtime environment, but that usually comes with a decent error message indicating as such.

Try a fresh redownload + unzip, see if maybe a file got corrupted somewhere.

Yeah I think it's a problem with a certain version. Fear and Hunger works fine but Black Souls and Lona crash.

The user interface on this rpgm game is hideous. I like games that use rpgm systems but by god i spent 10 minutes pissing around with keys and trying to get things to work, it is as intuitive as an 8x8 Rubiks cube. Don't try to fix that which is not broken, standard keys and inventory systems etc work JUST FINE, this is a bloody nightmare.

Hard pass. HARD pass.

Nah, I have been playing rpgm games for 15 years. When devs wander away from the standard interface all they do is make life difficult for their players and themselves. Enter->interact, esc -> open menu, mouse clicks-> something happens

Not rocket science

"Wait! I can reinvent the wheel and be adored by millions!"

Yeah, right

Living in the stone age is your preferred lifestyle I suppose, but hey, all kinks are welcomed here.

I've been playing RPGM games for like 2 years, and 60% of the games I've played have had control schemes identical (or at least structurally similar) to LonaRPG.

I'm not saying you're wrong to criticize it, since frankly I think the game's control scheme is kind of ass, but it's weirdly uninformed that you're acting like LonaRPG's control scheme is some "reinvention of the wheel", when it's pretty obvious to my newbie ass that it's basically just the default controls that RPGM provides out of the box.

Don't bother, it's just him inventing excuse for not wanting to read the tutorial and the UI.

I mean:
-Press Z : confirm/talk/interact...
-Press X: Open menu/close menu...
-Hold Shift: Run

The most basic of basic of RPGmaker games, but he doesn't want to use any more buttons/shortcut than his lazy ass can handle so now cut to 8 shortcuts menu + SPACE button and he starts sweating the detail.
There's also combination of button like:
SHIFT + Z to pick up and equip
CTRL to crouch
ALT + Directional button to look around + Extra D to defend while looking around + Extra CTRL to look pretty while staying in the shadow if you can afford the final stealth skill upgrade.
Cancel skill button
combo and chain attack
etc...

Oh well, too much to bother with, back to Press Z to blaze-through-the-game normal RPGmaker game.

Sorry that it's too hard to play with one hand, friend. There are lots of other games for you on the site.

(Also I play Lona with a controller and it's incredibly simple. If you want a game with zero gameplay to jerk off to, look elsewhere.)
