I don't think I've ever enjoyed an adult game like this. It's not just hot, but fun to play. The world feels like it's living and breathing. Seven hours in, and I'm just scratching the surface.
The good:
+ Great art style.
+ Good RPG system.
+ Plenty of content, and with more to come.
+ Fun quests.
+ Good gameplay.
+ Presents a proper challenge.
+ Good dialogue (overall).
+ Good music/sound.
The bad:
- The focus is pretty much exclusively on non-con, with some dub-consensual tossed in here and there (if you look hard enough, e.g. in that cult church).
- If you don't like urine, you're missing a whole lot of content. If you can't stomach scat (which is fairly subdued), you're also missing some content.
- Some stats/skills/recipes/gameplay elements are difficult to understand.
- Pregnancy can be a chore.
- The AI is retarded, although some enemies are cleverly designed and can block your path semi-intelligently, etc.
The in-between:
~ Certain scenarios / chance events are difficult or pretty much impossible to survive, especially if you get captured.
~ Early game, it's difficult to even feed yourself / survive if you're new to LonaRPG.
~ Lewd mood? Unless you're good at escaping, or prostituting yourself, you'd better save before getting fucked - or it can be game over. And even if you do, you can say goodbye to your hard-earned items (unless you stash them prior / are plenty rich).
~ Performance can be hit-and-miss on weaker systems.
The truly special:
+ Flat-chested, female protagonist in a good game (rare).
+ The art.
+ Almost every aspect of the gameplay.
+ Directed game design. Games like Violated Heroine are fun, but feel like they're of two minds (or many more) with rushed sub-plots, unused locations, bugs for days. Not here. What's there is polished.
LonaRPG is a work of genius, and the best RPG maker game I've played. I'm eager to see how it develops.
