the right sequence is:

Primrose has borrowed several books, all of which are overdue.
You borrowed the books to give them to your father. That’s why you couldn’t return them. They were no longer
under your control.
(Clue: Primrose borrowed erotic literature to give to her father.) Remove Inhibitions
Kiss her

You actually need to have found the clues. One example from the walktrough that I'm assuming you're using:
"Search the alley (Clue: People say Primrose never throws anything in the trash. "

And a friendly tip. Don't follow the walktrough. You apparently already skipped several things and got "stuck" because you are focusing on the walktrough. It is not needed to play the game as it is pretty clear on what you need to do at any point. If you simply want to get to the sexy bits without playing, simply download the gallery unlocker from the first post.
