Just to let you all know that work on the VN is progressing steadily. Now is prep time... making sets and redoing the Koikatu characters that were lost is the first order of business.

Will soon find out whether I'll get to work from home all the time. Word in the file rooms is that the new guy who took over our division won't let us, but we'll see.

Happy to report that I will be working from home full time beginning November 3rd, so that will help me to really get this project off the ground.

I've made a new map and did some character work, but it will be good to start writing dialogue and making my cheesy Koikatsu screen shots again.

Still here... RL is tossing things at me left and right lately so progress is slow. Might not really have the necessary time to really get on a roll until I retire, which should be soon. I'm already past retirement age. At some point my company will realize that I'm a luxury they can do without.

Happy for you? Not sure why you had the stimuli to share this as is not something i had really wish to know. I'm not in the position to talk for you but you saying that you "live", not quite, without having to bother making the decisions in life you are basically just breathing, somebody once said "Cogito ergo sum" that ideally is what's makes the person you are with the choice you made, if allowing everything that happen without prejudice or predicament would at the base of "this is my choice" wouldn't be a rock in the same way capable of decision making?
Anyway.. Everyone want to experiment with his life thus as part of this i given a chance to your story, to entertain me, to give me something to think, I never said that the plot is bad as it accentuate various discussion and critical thinking however when it happen that the mc would have a choice is never really him who does it, just like a puppet he accept it, this want it or not it breaks the immersion.

As I've said many times, this VN is niche and not meant to be popular. I am on the spectrum and basically when you play this game you are seeing the way I experience the world. Things and people just come to me and it's like I'm being carried along. I'm a deeply spiritual person so this feels natural to me. Bottom line, if I wrote it any other way, it would come off as phony so I'm not doing that.

On the other hand, when action is needed, I take it. I chair AA and SAA meetings. I'm currently at a crossroads with my wife who is struggling with long-term health issues and is starting to think I'm her personal emotional punching bag. I have to assert myself and put a stop to this before it hurts both of us.

So that's my answer in a nutshell. There are probably a select few that play this VN and completely relate. You know who you are...
