We had the same experience. The only junior officers I remember being able to delegate, well, were the guys/gals that were prior enlisted who decided to make the jump to Warrant or try their hand at OCS. Other than that those little shit's fresh from Annapolis were mostly clueless and only knew how to "Volun-tell."; there was no delegation about it.

Yep, first lesson for the butter bars was to respect platoon Sergeants and above. They didn't have to say, "sir" but they sure as shit deferred. Mustangers made great Jr. Officers. They came up through the ranks and most of them made Sgt. or Staff Sgt. before getting into OCS. Some were battlefield promotions, those were called sir with a capital "S". Dunno what it's like these days, that was back in the day... as in last century. Semper Fi

My theory on why Ryker will NOT be the next Prez of RMC:
1) Too little time with the club. Sluggo is OG if not 2nd Generation.
2) Too many other commitments. Girls, dance clubs and side projects.
3) Too valuable as a wild card. Nora, Tori and De Pesto wield power and he is the club's representative.
4) Too much more valuable as a recruiter and Ambassador. Possible patch over of smaller clubs or founding of support clubs.
5) Too close to Stan and Della. He will either be doing things with Papa Stan or standing in his shoes for Della.
6) Too valuable to club finances. Running the dance clubs and other legit operations.
7) Too public. DOS is still watching him and he needs to keep his head down(for now).

According to Spike and Kira, Ryker was hands on with the troops. Not your typical 2nd Lt but a real leader.

Too valuable to the whole enterprise to saddle him with one thing.
