They're probably suffering from Google killing off the ability of chromium based browsers to effectively block ads. I switched to firefox before that happened and no weird AI girlfriends for me.marry him then.

I'm using firefox with adblock plus and idk if that banner ever went away, but I definitely re-noticed the banner today.

Try ublock origin. Adblock cuts a deal with some advertising conglomerate to let through "acceptable ads" which is how they stay running, and still work on chromium, so the stupid ad may have been added to that list.I'm using firefox with adblock plus and idk if that banner ever went away, but I definitely re-noticed the banner today.

Adblockers are weird, sometimes too many/too many blocklists they can like interact weird and then block less. Ublock is good enough for me by itself.

I've been using ABP for years and have all kinds of rules configured for it. But youtube hates it unless I also have ublock. So both.

I'm a weirdo and I pay youtube. Not a big fan of ABPs whole backroom deal with the advertisers, but if it works for you it works for you. You can select it then and get rid of it, that must have been what I did, cause ain't nothing there for me.
