Personal observation/theory on why Dev drops content in small parts XYZ rather than Big Solo Drop.
1) It keeps us playing/replaying to keep our short term attention focused.
2) He is developing his story and has several new arcs occur to him and wants to see our reactions.
3) His time is spread thin and he knows he has RL details coming that will limit game dev time.
4) He has seen other games fail when the dev took too long and support vanished.
5) Players keep whining about when to get new content and he is trying to keep them happy.
6) Small content keeps us talking/theorizing about the future.
7) None of my fucking business to question his reasons. I just play the great game he is making.
No disrespect I can see you thought about this but.
And this is just my theory and personal opinion based on previous observations.
Possibly number 3, gonna say 2 is also possible but unlikely, very doubt full on 1, 4, 5, and 6.
Given the size and time to make of previous updates IE:
Frist part.1, part.2, part.3, part.4, part.5, part.6, part.7, part.8 part.9.
None of which were whined over having to wait for by most of the players here at the time.
But Definitely number 7 though.
