Yeah, the man's fondest wish at this final turn of his life is to do the Norse thing and reap a quick and glorious death in battle rather than wasting in a bed and being eaten alive by cancer. Can't say I disapprove. As much as it pains Della and all those who love him to lose him earlier and quicker, it is a most fitting end to his life and the last and greatest gift of love they can give him is to respect his wishes.

Practically speaking, if things are to go this way, I wonder how the dev is going to reconcile Stan not being exactly fit for combat with him taking part in the open conflict with the Minions, and the Rogues having to fight efficiently and win. Maybe he is able to pump himself up with the right kind of drugs for a final boost in the last battle, and he dies to save another Rogue. Quite possible he does that for Ryker, his new son figure, and he closes the circle of his life beautifully doing what he couldn't for Bobby.

Wonder if the Rogues are going to give him a Viking funeral.
