Considering the gleeful look on her face when her and Stan were patting each other on the back over that super obviously planted ring managing to fool Angelica and the MC, I think she plainly intends to make Barbara suffer as much as possible and I doubt she's above subjecting her to a long and drawn out death. Stan and Dee are not good people. Sure they may seem like saints compared to the Minions but they're still violent criminals and murderers.
The impression the story gives me is that Dee and Stan feel personal guilt over the deaths of Bud and Sissy, not just anger towards the Minions. Most likely they're no more responsible for Bud and Sissy's deaths than Lords Montague and Capulet were for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet but there could be something more like maybe they had a bit of a falling out before they left and being unable to ever resolve that has made Dee and Stan run a bit mad with grief.
I can understand Angelica being too emotional over the events to think clearly but I really hope the MC immediately recognized that the ring was planted and decided that as a prospect it was one more thing he had to keep his mouth shut about. Sucks for Angelica to be used like that but since the style of this vn is that the MC gets all the girls, she probably just never finds out.
Engaging story overall though, I look forward to reading more of it.

I kinda doubt MC was tricked. I suspect he's just carrying the tune. He knows what Quack's been up to lately at any rate.
And that the Rogues had access to Quack's effects. If that ring was as important as it was made out to be, kinda unlikely it would have been left to languish on a trail for years as well.
Right and like I said I hope that's the case but omitting the internal dialogue that should have accompanied that feels like being lied to by the author. We know all of the MC's internal thought processes except that one really important one? Meh.

Do you have read the dialogue between Stan and Ryker and also his toughs about the situation? It was answered there - and most of the time it wouldn't be like:
I'm sure they planted the ring on the riverbed before we were going to search for it.
Often you need to be able to read between the lines.

He has already divorced himself from a government that let him take the fall for it's own failure to understand those rules and shown his willingness to live by the code of a 1% club. I believe you are correct in assuming he isn't stupid. I have also known plenty of warriors just like this one. Generally, they know when to keep their mouths shut. I didn't need internal dialogue to see it and, honestly, I don't think you did either.
All in all, I'd say we both got the point. That stands as good story telling in my book. Jus' Sayin'

At least me and my squad got to come home to our families. Ryker can be silly and playful but, as you say, he is anything but stupid. If he is not 100% sure it was a plant he is damned sure 95+. But, again as you say, Ryker is a Rogue and questioning Club actions is not the best thing for a Prospect. ALSO, Ryker has his own reasons for wanting to end the RMC/MMC war his way. Rip hit his #1 OL, even by accident that warrants a lot of pain before a dirt nap. Blobby touched Jessy, see my first point, Barb hurt Angelica, she is now family and again, point 1. Tori is offering Berdoo on a silver platter and Jay's parole if Ryker ends Blobby, 'nuff said. Willie sat by and let Barb hurt Sissy and Angelica, not a corner of Hell hot enough for him. So, Ryker may know about the ring but he has a ton of personal reasons to not give a damn and back S&D's play.

Amen, too many times Brothers come home draped in a flag because of politicians. Ryker had 3 tours in the sand box and spent 3 years in hell because of politics. He knows the only people you can count on are the guys on your right and left. He has seen a small combat with Sluggo and has been acknowledged by Sluggo as "BROTHER". I have no problem with him keeping that revelation from Angelica, it makes sense that a prospect would keep his mouth shut. It's just weird for the author to keep that internal dialogue hidden from the reader given the significance of that knowledge and how often we see his thoughts throughout the rest of the story. It feels inconsistent for a VN whose storytelling style is very blunt and straightforward to take this brief departure into vagueness/subtlety before going right back into the original straightforward style in the next chapter. It doesn't need to be explicitly spelled out in Ryker's thoughts, but a simple internal 'What the hell?' that never gets expounded upon when they first find the ring or a brief side-eyed look at Stan as they're leaving after bringing the ring back would go a long way while still leaving room for doubt if that's what the author wants.Ryker's background includes fighting a war in a country where they kill each other for adhering to differing sets of religious rules and killing one of your wives isn't illegal. The fact that this somewhat nitpicky thing is my only gripe about the story through 15 chapters is a credit to how engaging and generally well-told it is.

Having all of those ticked sounds like a very desirable game to me, especially considering it even has at least something that looks like a decent story instead of 1 fuck after the other with at most 1 minute of "story" in between
