It's just the way I was raised. I was taught to let your actions speak for you. I didn't even think to post the link for the contest on my Patreon or SS pages. I feel like a dumb ass now.

When I was doing music. I handled most of the promotion for multiple bands as well as scheduling the tours. It can be a nightmare. So I feel your pain. There were times I just wanted to get back to writing music especially towards the end when I felt like I was online updating so many different pages across all the platforms all day. I had a knack for the business side of it but I absolutely fucking loathed it.
