That's not true at all, you can keep Ann to yourself on her corruption path easily and she pushes for MC to date Alex on both romance and corruption paths. Vanessa is partially unavoidable on any path, sis is looking to be available on any path and so far at least there's been no consequence to dating the beach girl, forgot her name.
Whether it'll end up a harem or not who knows but I doubt Ann would be pushing MC to date her best friend if it wasn't a possibility.

Yes I've played all the way to the end of 0.8b, I have multiple saves, one for Ann love, two Ann corruption saves, one for non-sharing, and the other with sharing, and I have a Vanessa love save. (Not a fan of blackmail)
