Same, for me a game proper scored, not just bgm but effects, ambiance etc - to steal twain it's the difference between lightning and a lightning bug. Furthermore, after hopping out of a game like that, games with none feel lifeless and empty. For me it's more just the lack of any sound makes it hard for me to play any game not just AVN's because it's not what im used to and it feels weird to me kind of hard to explain exactly why. With that being said im never one to complain about a lack of music ill just look up some background music / lofi w/e on youtube if there is none otherwise I never mute the game. However if it was a normal video game where I dont need to read depending on the game sometimes I will mute and put anime or w/e on I just need some kind of background sound. Tried that with AVN's and I just cant do that and read at the same time too difficult for me to focus.
To those that insist on going without regardless and just have their own muzak piped in, I have genuine sympathy for you all. To take easy examples, something like Badik or LoF wouldnt be half the games if not for the appropriate soundtracks.
