Sounds like you might be confusing paths.

The bus ride at night happens for both routes. But if you're playing Ann's Hate route, for example, which isn't complete, you won't see all the content in v0.9

Is there an issue with Emily's route? When they're talking she's asking if it's weird because they grew up together but nothing about being siblings. Normally that would be the non-patched dialogue. "I know there's no patch". Also been waiting for her since jump street but I hope he doesn't rush that content too much, already seemed like a lot out of nowhere.
