Where that common point is usually back in Ben's bedroom where he's checking Insta, calling/texting someone, sleeping, etc.

So I imagine he would break off at the first point, release, and continue until the next common point.

You do make a good point, as he's not the first to treat that scene as forgettable or "doesnt count".
