That's your interpretation of this loose system because you've been conditioned by Devs using it that way for years now. Porn game on steam is still a very recent addition and has absolutely changed the game (Except I don't want to have porn game on my steam account) but doesn't change that the idea of Patreon and other subscription is that you support and get something in return. News update like "Yup still working on the game" is not something any sane person would pay 5 to 30 bucks monthly for. Anyone paying to get 4k wallpaper of nude 3dcg girls should be institutionalized and have their credit card revoked.

I support a couple of devs (yes including TTrick), usually on the lowest/lower Tiers. Mainly to be apart of Polls and to hopefully help the dev get his content out there (and hopefully get some content for me aswell). But yeah when it takes too long between releases and the releases have next to no new content it does tend to make me want to quit.

All jokes aside, this game is far too complicated to release paths piecemeal by piecemeal.

TTrick, the developer behind LSS, already said that he will finish the game no matter how long it takes him.

Now, obviously, statute of limitations is a real concept for a reason, but whatever...

I'm sure it was meant sincerely, but really, it's not like a lot of devs are going to say "yeah, I don't know, see how I feel about it in a few months, lets just take it one update at a time".
