Just a bit more! 2020 is almost freaking over. Hope you guys are doing well and that 2021 is going to treat us all well!
Spoiler - This is probably the last dev update for 2020. We hope that the next update post will be LSS V0.7a1!

LSS V0.7a1
We aim to have the first alpha ready this month, before or by the end of the year.
This is our target date, but delays can always happen. Please keep that in mind!
The first alpha is focused on Ann's corruption, Ann's corruption + NTR paths, and remastering some older content.

As we focus more on animating LSS scenes, it makes no sense to have a distinct "production value" difference between older and newer adult scenes.
Older content remastering will contain mostly animations for scenes from V0.1-0.6, and some older renders touch up.
For V0.7a1, most animations will be added between V0.1-0.6. Simply because there's more content there.

General Development - Framework
After 3-years of development, we're now (finally) at a state where the framework is stable and rich enough so that TTrick can continue working on LSS without needing new features.
Because of that, I (Ink) am finally in a position where I can focus on bigger features that got pushed aside! (Yes, blame TTrick for no rollback! )
Reading this section, you might think - Shit. They got a ton of work left. Well... You'd be correct.
But! LSS V0.7 shouldn't be delayed. If the new features aren't done in time - The game will be released with the previous framework version.

Rollback
This feature needs no introduction. Rollback has been something we acknowledge was missing for a while.
It's a bigger development task because it requires re-writing parts of the core system. But doing so also allows us to improve and optimize older and outdated code!

Save \ Load game in place

The biggest "side effect" of re-writing code for the new rollback system is the need for game states. Those states are important because they can be saved!
In addition to rollback, loading a game will get you right where you saved it!

Possible data loss

We understand how annoying needing to make new saves are.
That's why we do everything we can to make sure old saves work even when we perform framework changes. This happened 3 times behind the scenes already.
This is the biggest change ever planned for the framework and there's a very slight chance old saves will not work. This is 90% a false alarm. Most likely, we'll manage to make old saves convert to a new format. But just in case, be aware that this is a possibility.
Seen content (for skip mode) will be deleted. This means you'll have to use the "Skip Unseen" option, or simply go over the content again.
Save Management improvements
By popular demand features for save management will be added to the game!
Planned features for new save \ load:
  • Filter support inside running game (currently only on the main menu)
  • Order saves by date created, date modified, manual order (drag n drop)
  • Rename \ Delete saves
  • Add \ Remove \ Rename save pages
  • Possibly, filter preview for selected save
(ETA: Late V0.7 or V0.8)
Android version improvements

We know playing the game on Android isn't the best experience. While it runs just fine, the UI is more aimed for precise mice control, and not a finger.
Android UI and gesture controls are high on our list!

Modding tools

In the previous dev update, we mentioned working on adding more modding tools. This is already done and will be included in the next release.
If you're into modding, the new features will allow you to hook your code to trigger before a game scene. This is extremely useful if you want to, for example, add a button that displays a tip\walkthrough for the scene!

What are you talking about? What did you base your assumptions on?

Even if you were correct (spoiler alert, you're not) - This game is about the MC, Joe, Ann, and Vanessa. Those are the main characters of the game. Consider any other character as they are - extras. If you don't like any of the game's main characters, then maybe the game is simply not for you.
TTrick is being super cool, and working extra hard adding characters to the game because he cares and loves the game. Player's choice is his top priority.
Your "fake news" comment (and unjustified poor review, by the way) are just childish.

To anyone interested in the facts: We've teased more Amber content on our Discord. We teased multiple Jenny scenes on our Patreon (during v0.6 development), and Alex story progression (outside of Insta). All those for V0.7.

Really, "player's choice is his top priority"? That's your come back after asserting that the "MC, Joe, Ann, and Vanessa" are the main characters of the game and the rest are extras, that, since those are the main characters, the player should like them or go elsewhere. Do you read what you type?
The player has a binary choice - Ann or Vanessa. No one else. The MC can go onto the fake instagram and type comments to Alex and she will respond to two of them. The MC can meet Jenny and get her number but never call her. The MC can hang out with his "sister" but nothing happens. The MC can have a bad relationship with Joe, Vanessa, and Ann yet he still goes over and hangs out at Vanessa's house with all three of them even though Joe is mad at him, Ann is dating another character (Chris), and the MC has a bad relationship with Vanessa. And even with all of those negative relationships when the MC asks Vanessa why she invited everyone over she says that she thought they would all fuck. There is no choice involved in that scene or many of the scenes before it - does the MC have a bad relationship with Vanessa and not want to fuck around on his friend behind his back? Does the MC not want to pretend to be Joe for Vanessa's parents? Too bad he doesn't have a choice and must pretend to be Joe.

This game doesn't have a lot of choice, it is set up to appear that the player has more choices but there are only two: Ann (Love or Corruption) or Vanessa (fucking her behind Joe's back). That's it. And you know what? I was fine with waiting to see something else come along because I thought there might be a viable third option. But when the developer decides to go back and "fix" the already incredibly well done work that has been previously released and doesn't add any content that isn't about the bobblehead or the slut I am done waiting.
Oh i can feel ur pain. Despite of that, im good with the options (decisions) we have. There are just no perfect game's, we have what we have. And to be honest, we have lot more than any other project can give us. Great breathtaking story we do ourselves, awesome graphic's, girl's are gorgeous (MC looks handsome) and alot of other things i can't remember right now. ;3
As we been told, its a story of two couples. Vanessa and Ann are bff, and the same for MC and Joe. You said "the rest are extras". But who told you that they are going to have just a small role, like short episode on stage? Im pretty sure they will have their place in MC's life, as they already involved.
I didnt want to reply anything, cause i dont feel so good. (might be corona?!) Anythough, im trying to convince you to stay with our small and humble, but strong and loving family we have.
Please give them a chance to show their talent's, im sure they can surprise you.

It took them 2 days off of 2 months to give us an ETA for this update. No, I don't feel like a silly goose for being critical of their lack of transparency.

Transparent and professional as always, that's why you're probably my favorite Dev's (y).

Only the wait between updates is as painful as was the wait for Cyberpunk. But the big difference is, that you guys wouldn't release your game in such a state.

I think it goes mostly unnoticed because of the fact that it's made in unity. I had, and still have a bias against unity games. LSS is top notch, best unity game I've ever played here, but the other ones are usually really problematic to play for me/my system. Therefor when I see a game with the unity tag, I usually don't even download it, unless the story or renders are completely amazing.

That said, this game here is definitily something else. Really glad I gave it a chance. In my top games with Badik and Radiant.
