Thanks thedude, I didn't realize it was being discussed here. Though, I kind of wish I stayed oblivious because this thread is the most negative of any I've seen.

First off, everyone, It took me multiple years to write the script because I am a professor of computational neuroscience in my regular life, and frankly, that is not a job that leaves one a lot of free time to write games that only a small percentage of people are willing to pay for anyway.

Second, I have no idea about this fog thing. I'm not a visual person, so I didn't even notice the difference, but I see the difference in the post above. It probably has something to do with some compression issue, or something, to help the game load fast, but I don't know. I'm also not super into sound, so I never even have sound on when I play or play test games, so I didn't notice anything different there either.

Third, for anyone who paid for the game and is disappointed, all I can say is that I did not want to disappoint you, and I'm truly bummed out that I disappointed you. It certainly does not seem to be the general consensus though - on other forums the general opinion is quite positive. Despite disappointing some of you, I'm still proud of my part in this work, because I think I wrote some very creative, original, hot (if you share some of my kinks) scenes. For anyone who hasn't played the game but is considering - if you like how I write scenes, if you want to play scenes that are more original than most about cum play, cheating, group sex, and cuckolding, I think you will still enjoy this game despite some of the valid criticisms you read here.
I wouldn't take it to heart unfortunately people can be extremely negative on this forum, they seem to think it is entitled to do so, even though this thread is for the calendar and it has seemingly become a discussion thread for LWT2

As some others said, do not take it too personally. Forums can be tanks of sharks and it is unfortunate, that you found a thread where there are users full of negativity. On this forum it is normally rare, in most threads the users (outside some trolls any forum has) want to do constructive critic.
As for LWT 2: I agree with others on the game thread. I would buy it on Steam. I appreciate the time developers put into their work, therefore paying for it, but I am no fan of time-limited access, online-only and long papertrails on the net.

The writing wasn't what made the game mediocre for me. The memory sequence with Lisa was the best writing I have seen in a long time in LOP games. Don't sweat it man.

Regrettably subscribing to LOP as opposed to Motkeyz, Icstor, Philly or Mircom3d is like insisting on using a Blackberry legacy smartphone in the era of IOS and Android.
i don't want this to sound like personal attack on you but i'll never understand this way of thinking, sorry but comparison you've made is just so dumb. I would really like to hear your explanation.
my post will be pointless since everyone here seem to hate on LOP by default but nevertheless, subscribing to them gives you ability to instantly play over 20 titles they've made in last several years. finished, completed, complex games, some of which got or will get further expansions, written by different writers, with multiple paths and endings, multiple different genres, kinks and themes, from dating sims to sci fi,visually presented with unique sets of characters and environments made by LOP themselves, with visual quality that is incomparable to anything else on patreon. they are mainly charging the access to play the games.

on the other side, patreon developers are working on only one, ongoing project at the time (usually VN opposed to adventure or sandbox type of games LOP make),because of that they can dedicate all their time and focus only on that one project, which are usually made with numerous iterations of DAZ models, locations or objects with main theme of majority of the games being or leaning towards incest, and along with all that have freedom and ability to deliver smaller bits of story or game monthly, because patreon ways of operating lets them to do it that way. here patreon charges you for supporting the developer, not the game they are making.

two totally different things you're paying for.

and lets not forget who has it easier here. LOP,or notorious leonizer who runs his own company, brands, sites and business and depends on himself and the work he puts into creating the games together with his team or patreon developers who are using benefits of one of the biggest crowdfunding platforms out here, with thousands of users every day? who gets the better exposure and presumably bigger income? also, everyone's flaming LOP for,if you realize that they can't compete with patreon platform and can't reach incomes that patreon developers are reaching, rightfully protecting their games like it's criminal act while in reality, even if they would release them DRM free or changed the way of charging by selling their games i doubt they would have more than 10 supporters on this site. patreon developers don't have reason to care if their game leaks on this forum,f95zone is huge exposure for them, many of them are actually active on this forum because they know they can attract new patrons here. on the other hand,if new LWT expansion dropped here today,i doubt anoyne here would go and subscribe to LOP,even as a thank you or some way of showing support for their work. come to think of it,your original comparison is actually other way round...

i apologize if i offended you or anyone else here

You are entitled to your opinion. The mechanics of LOP games have not changed much over 5 years. The stories are always about prostitution, nymphomania, swinging, cheating and wife sharing and variations of the same theme. Popular Patreon games have the incezt undercurrent, true, but that is the major porn taboo at the moment, it is what the patronage wants.Whether the setting be in a spaceship or a log cabin, the underlining LOP theme remains the same. The variables are always looks, morale, money, fidelity....usually 5 to 6 variables to make the game seem longer than it is but so much grind. Stacking numbers to get a scene is not gaming. Once they were the 'go to' because nobody else offered the same visual quality and error free script in a grindy but playable format. Except that as a long time subscriber, once I finish a game, let's say over a week or so, I never go back to it. The only exceptions being LWT only because Tracy is the acme of CG goddesses. Once I've played Eleanor or CVR and the like and either got all the scenes or all the endings, that's it. I want fresh meat, and that is absolutely normal in porn. LOP is porn, whatever package it comes in . The Patreon advantage is that we do get fresh meat in almost every version of the game or VN every month or so. That makes Patreon games more interesting. Not only that but as a supporter I have a say in the direction of the game so I feel part of the development process, even if I am one of a few hundred. That is a good feeling. LOP issues games that are touch and go. Since LWT2 came out in Sep16, only CVR, ELE and Snake Valley have been any good. That's 3 out of 9 games. $360 over 3 years, that's $120 per game. I spent less than that on Philly and Icstor and got a lot more in return. For ELE2 and CVR it only became worthwhile after the expansion. The LOP business model cannot adapt to Patreon, and they did try, with Yasmine and BD3D. There is almost no interest on Patreon in their offerings.
And hereby my reference to BB and IOS/Android. BB kept harking on about its physical keyboard and the power of its browser, relying on these to sustain its dominance over other platforms, when apps, a large touchscreen with reliable hardware and software were what people chose. Yet a minority still claimed BB had the better product. Having owned and used both BBOS and IOS, I can honestly say that they were wrong.
I also believe you're wrong in assuming that if LOP posted their games on Patreon they would not get any subs. I think they would get the same as they have at the moment but they would be 'forced' to adapt to prevailing 'tastes' and they won't do it. As for Leonizer ...etc in truth no-one really cares. The average player just wants to fap and will fap where he can get it easiest.
All the kinks that LOP offers I can get double on Patreon, and get to keep the game/VN on any drive I choose. At one point BB legacy only allowed internet connection through a BB server whilst an Android phone just needed to input an APN on the SIM. Guess who prevailed. I hope you see my point now.
I feel we have hijacked this thread so better PM me onwards. No offence meant to anyone or you in particularly either.

Is it possible to play these games on mobile? I'm considering signing up for LwT since I was a (seemingly rare) fan of the sequel.

MrSavage fair points.
we obviously have different opinions about this but i still stand by what i've said, you simply can't compare one to another,or to put it differently,it's unfair to keep on bashing only one side when they are so different. LOP are producing and delivering completed games upon release, with gameplay and mechanics that defined them who they are while patreon devs are continually work on single game which they can work on until the end of time if they want to.
same goes for financial matters. i presume LOP is not reaching half of what average developer on patreon makes,so they need to find the way to make profit. judging by comments all over this site regarding them, they are obviously not good.

what i agree with you is that we went quite offtopic so i'll stop here. peace out

While some people may have some critique about the story, it seems most reviewers think it's pretty okay.

The odd clouds around the images though.. Those are now a case of "what has been seen cannot be unseen". Most people wouldn't have noticed by themselves, but others are a bit more sensitive to such things, and once it's out in the open, it's hard to get rid of it. So it's definitely something to forward to the art-team and urge them to reconsider for future games, or it will be the porn game equivalent of the "red-green-blue endings" from the later Mass Effect games. And that's not some criticism you want to carry with you to the launch of your next title.
Gamers making jokes between eachother about "what colour are you going to pick for ME:Andromeda ending" definitely hurt their pre-release sales. Now, a lot of things weren't really great about Andromeda, but, gladly, EA/Bioware did learn, and made sure red-green-blue wasn't one of the faults in that game. But, since it's hard to shake these things, it may very well still follow them to their next ME game. So get rid of it, before LOP becomes known as the developer that "used to have crisp images, but now hides all the action behind cloud filters".

The LOP subscription is too expensive and time- sensitive for me, but i am a fan of their work. Lwt2 revelations would be great if it came to steam. Maybe someone will upload the CG as a preview though.

I don't think that LoP games gameplay loop is as outdated or bad, same with the story formula. Sexual fetishes and preferences don't change that much over time. There are of coarse bugs, but what game doesn't have those. What I think is bad about their games is, that their gameplay mechanics are outdated. You can't save and you can't skip already seen content which makes multiple playthroughs a chore and annoying. The time management isn't very favoured nowadays, and the time limit, or rather actions limit is annoying too, but it at least adds some challenge. I haven't played LWT2, because don't have money to spare right now, but when I played Denise and new Eleanor, all these problems were there, and when I add that the character models are also pretty outdated as well as in their other games, it didn't age very well.
