I had a book that did that as a kid. First thing was to coat a triangle in graphite, then play the songs in the book (then play around with it after).

Take a chill pill. Not every guy has to be 6' tall.
Nathan more so takes after his Richard (in genetic terms) as opposed to Diane, who is taller than Richard.
The likelihood is that Nathan will also tend towards a more normal height while Diane's genes for height got passed to the girls.
I know the real world has a thing called Random Genetic Drift which would also explain this but it can all be summed up in this one sentence:

Yeah I second this, this would be the only annoying aspect left of the UI with those multi stack changes.
