Back when I used to bother with dating, one girl I went out with made me sit down in such a way that I would be sitting with my back at some other girls she thought were attractive (she probably noticed me checking them out, although it's not like i ogled them, or at least I don't think so, I mean I am human and you know how women dress in malls and basically everywhere) so I could not even look past her and at them, and could only see her instead.
I found it really funny at the time because it was so obvious what she did. Especially since one of them was wearing lowcut jeans and their seats were those bar stool type. So Kayley being threatened over Cassidy? Not so unbelievable. Especially since he disappeared with Cassidy and it would have been even more poignant if she asked him where he went, but you know how characters in movies and other art forms never ask the obvious questions because then the plot would unravel early.
So yeah, woman making a scene? Shocking. Even worse if she has abandonment issues (that is, unless the plot reveals she's a hoaxer later, or a nut). I actually like that I can't anticipate where the story is going.
Now undeniably the chapter is short, (166 renders), in fact I think all of them are, but for one I am getting this for free and I am curious where this is going so I am willing to give this a pass if the story is good. And for me it is because the character somewhat act and talk like actual humans and not the like the porn stereotypes from other games (Jessica O Neil's Hard News, for example).
Not to mention not having to wait a year or more for an update. Animations are also great, compared to other games where they're so stiff and just plain bad, so there's that too.
I called it that Leilani is coming on to him.
Also I did laugh at this:

With the end of chapter 8 I thought maybe choices are starting to matter but no, they don't. Everything happens the same way no matter what you do.

yeah, the same, I ditched everybody I could and still got scolded by Kay
, i hope it will be fixed, cause being faithful should be rewarded, not otherwise(and yeah, Cassidy is very persistent, a few more attempts and I might start considering it

Yeah that was another funny scene. When he said that, I was thinking wouldn't it be funny if she went back on her offer. Her behavior certainly changed after that. Kind of like that joke: 'When someone says "we should hang out sometime", I say "I'm ready to hang out right now" and watch them squirm'.

Well with K now possibly working in a club described by Cassidy as a "BDSM love hotel" we might get some interesting stuff in the future. Although if my understanding of NTR is correct and with the author saying there isn't going to be NTR, she's not likely to get any action with someone else except with MC dearest.
