On the one hand I can understand how it is a thread about a game and social issues are a different topic, but then again porn itself is a social issue and its existence and use by so many is indicative of the existence of other social issues, and these games, even though they're smut, they are also drawing from and reflecting the culture their authors live in, so I don't think it was that offtopic. You have the career wife who's a drunk, the man who has a loveless marriage with a nagging middle aged wife, a daughter who could barely get by with her job before her father came along, the virgin who never went to college and so she missed the boat for a better career and so works as a barista. Things that people experience and aren't always happy about, if the replies in the thread were any indication.

Also if a discussion can't veer off the beaten path it's like when you have Christmas dinner and all the guests just talk about the weather and stupid stuff like that. Which is something I've often seen happen. People tend to avoid discussing anything complex (because can't handle complex topics) or that might lead to conflicts. Which means that all we are gonna get is posts like "Soo...how about them renders, huh?", because almost anything else might get deleted. But yeah, you do you.
At least the mod wasn't a complete douche about it.

We need to be careful with our discussion to stay grounded to game thread tho.

About having a nagging wife is not that the natural approach for someone without kids to give a bigger meaning to their lives? If you're not moving foward, creating something what is the point in a bigger scale?

Going off topic to some degree is fine, as long as there is a tangential connection to the game, lord knows there aren't enough of us to police every thread to that degree anyway...when we start getting a lot of reports from a thread though, and it's clearly off on a tangent, that's usually when the cleanup must occur. If it's a good convo though, feel free to bring it to the off topic forum, moderation there is MUCH more leniant on that kind of stuff.

I found this game really promising and interesting so I decided to make a small walkthrough mod here, hope game developer V19XX approves me sharing this one. This mod will highlight the recommended choices (though I think it doesn't have too many choices and they are pretty obvious). And if you have any problems, please do not hesitate to inform me. This game twists your sensibilities around a bit. I think maybe it's because overall the MC is bankrupt of good reasoning skills. His coping strategies are destructive, his relational decision making skills suck. His wife is doomed unless she realizes herself she needs help and seeks it herself because she has no meaningful support from the MC. It's like he's got his relationship on life support and he's waiting for her to sink or swim. Makes him a bit of a dick in my eyes. Or just ignorant, not sure which. As for Kailey, she's a hard read. I'm not entirely convinced she hasn't got a less than innocent backstory that has yet to be revealed. I really do hope this game survives the odds, though. It's certainly a thought provoking storyline, rare in these VN's.
