Not well done. NO explanations on what the cards do. Does not feel like a game or a card game. You pretty much have 1 action you can do as you only get to draw 2 cards so it feels like a very awful made card game.
The game does not know what it wants to be.
It is a cross of what if type game.. what if I do this
A horrible card game as you only have 2 cards and you have to replace all cards every turn so can't even use strategy to keep a card for next round
Game is mostly all boring monochrome graphics
Yeah a very poor game.
I'm very confused at your points of criticism. The game does tell you what cards do. You just have to hold shift when you're in battle or viewing your deck. I'm pretty sure the controls are displayed between floors and while viewing your deck. Similarly, your hand size and AP grows as you clear milestones, which the game indicates you when you're viewing titles. Did you not take the time to take inventory of your stuff? It would be most unwise of you not to, if you've played other deck builders.
I don't know what you mean by the game does not know what it wants to be. It's a deck builder with small bits of story revealed through events. You grind for cards, stats, and other resources the best you can as you face increasingly stronger enemies. You're supposed to try different options between runs and use the gained knowledge and experience to do better in a future run. That's the nature of roguelike deck builders. What's confusing to you exactly?
Serious question, have you played card games before? There's so many ways to circumvent having a small hand size here, like fielding cards that add cards to your hand or decreasing deck size to make sure you draw your essential cards more often. That's like a staple mechanic in most card games with a deck building element.
So what if the game is mostly monochrome? The preview images should have given that away. My dude, I don't know what expectations you had going into this, but that's probably the weakest point of critique.
