not really., its a literal copy ., unlike the two games u mentioned., and yeah i do think companion of darkness is a master piece i love the story flow

you changed World Crossing Academy's signature, with trouble in paradise, i won't comment about it, but keep telling yourself Companion of Darkness is good despite it breaks its own narrative rules at the convenience of the plot(feel free to read my review to know more about it).

Companion of Darkness in my eyes is even worse than lost and found: At the very least Lost&Found is just a copy of MNF, still follows a similar(and equally broing) flow of the story, aside the other many similarities(same plot, same family situation, same romances and yeah it's a copy), the game fullfills its role: being nsfw-material; while Companion of Darkness is a cheap knockoff of Fate/StayNight(Or Apocrypha) but without what makes Fate/StayNight interesting, the sex is bland, the characters boring and stupid, i can't even call it a porn-with-a-plot, because the porn is awful, and the plot keep digging its own grave: it doesn't get better ever.

Don't listen to these haters Junior. Your game resembles MNF the way Avatar resembles The Last Samurai or Dances with Wolves. It may share some plot points, but you definitely made it your own.

Adjustment Mod

Here's a small compilation of a few UI adjustments and utility mod's which present some pleasing changes to this old school harem title. (Improved dialog visibility, along with a few extra utility features to boot.)

• Changed the default textbox, to a custom bottom shaded version...(which aids with viewing the dialog text without blocking any of the background content).
• Edited the gui.rpy file, (adjusted the dialog settings to accommodate the custom textbox (removed small space at the bottom of the textbox where the quick menu is located).
• Included the 0x52_URM utility tool, which allows the user to view as well edit Ren'Py titles. (Can be used to verify and view data behind some of the story choices, as well can be used to display requirement checks as they happen through out a story. Editing...pressing ALT m keys together to bring up the search console to view or edit points, etc..)
• Included a Universal Quick Menu mod, used to hide's or display the bottom quick menu...by pressing your Q key. (A mod used to help clean up the dialog area by hiding the quick menu's from the dialog area of your screen.)
• Included the Universal Choice Descriptor Mod, which can display on screen data that can be hidden behind some of the story choices. (Note: This is not a walk through, though this useful mod can display some choice point variables on screen. URM does the same...but not in real time.)
• Included a custom font outline script mod, which adds a slight darker outline around the names and dialog text. (Improved visibility).
• Included a textbox opacity and font slider mod, (which is used to adjust the shading intensity of the dialog textbox, and or increase or decrease the dialog font size.)

Install:
Just extract and merge the mod's game folder with this titles game folder (over write when prompted). Then run your game exe, and enjoy this title's minor UI changes and added utility features.

Note: This mod compilation should not need regular updates, (provided no major coding changes are done to the original gui script of this title)…so this mod compilation should continue to work for future game releases.

I had to download part 2. the issue with part two is whatever you choose the MC to be called, it removes it and puts Eliot instead. I'm waiting for a bug fix lol.

i had that at the point of the beach vacation near the bath scenes. made a new save skipped through everyting up to that point and it was good

edit: it's part 1... lol
edit2: 2.2K lines of 38K lines spell and grammar checked. going for a walk and hope my headache gets better.
edit3: downloaded VSCode and installed LLM extension that checks grammar.
