Iirc, in the morning at the farm, head over to where the farmer and the cowgirl are (to the left of the crops), and talk to them. One of them gets you the milk. I think talking to the cowgirl is what does it, but not sure, maybe it's the farmer you have to talk to.

Always been AI, but the Characters and AI art has been changed a few times, personally I preferred the older art myself.
