The story is not starting over, episode 1 of season 2 is just a continuation. If this was a remake or rewrite it wouldn't be called season 2, not to mention we would've got Alice introduced again. I can understand the confusion though, none of the characters mentioned anything that happened in Episode 5, maybe if they had a dialog about the spiked drink or maybe just a simple flashback would be enough to take the confusion away.

It's confusing wherever you look at it.
It's not a rework but it looks like one.
Someone might think it's a flashback because the MC's room is different and maybe it's from his old house but Alice appears as if she were a member of the family so that doesn't make sense and it is a continuation of the events of the vacation ( chapter 5) then why not continue where they left off just when Ayame knocked on the bathroom door and implied that the next update was going to see something between them BUT NO, the developer literally went back to the beginning. so...??
I have seen how his numbers grow on Patreon and that makes me happy because the guy makes incredible art and animations but damn he doesn't know what it is to progress the story of a porn game where the main theme is PORN and not so much to have seasons and developments of characters as if it were a netflix series

Looks like this is a reboot instead of a season 2.

All game mechanics from previous episodes and progress with the girls are gone, all the sexual tension that was building up in last chapter is gone, its like the game started from the start, thers no sexual content in this episode.

Hello everyone,
Answer to the Most Frequently Asked Question:

• Will there be a sequel or is this a remastered version? Are these events before or after?

It's more likely to be a remaster, a completely different story. I'm really not fond of my first game's story; I messed it all up. The plot is confusing, the script is tangled and unclear, everything happens incorrectly, and I don't see any point in continuing that game.

• Why is it so short?

I get it, it just takes a lot of time. Scriptwriting, designing in Ren'Py, creating the renders – it's a huge effort. I'm giving it my all, but this is as much as I can manage right now. I'd love to produce more, but I can't devote all my time to the game; life has other demands too. This episode took about a month, maybe a week more or less, to complete. And that's fine. I plan to allocate more time to the game going forward. The script for the next episode is ready, and finally, there will be sexual content in the second episode.

• How will you manage two games at once?

The script for 'Halloween's Whispered Fate' is already complete. It won't be a very long game, roughly around 5 episodes. I'll release the next update for this game after about two releases of 'Love and Temptation', once the story becomes clearer. Also, I want to mention the 'Love and Temptation' script, which is prepared for the next three episodes.
