VN - Ren'Py - Love and Temptation [Ep.5 S2] [GruBoop]

It's a mess. It seems that the dev had no idea as to how the plot should progress, he probably set up the foundation of the plot and world building but didn't think much about how everything would come together in the future as the story progresses. As of right now, the date of this review, season 1 seems to have finished leading to nowhere and leaves you questionably wanting for more, if only to find out in the end if there's actually a story to begin with. The quality of the visual art is the only thing heavily carrying this project. As for me, it simply can't do.

The characters are a bit plump for my tastes but they have nice faces so I'll call that a positive. The renders look quite nice overall.

I'm not sure about the story though. What the heck is supposed to be going on here? I got about half an hour into the first season and I'm totally confused. It flits instantly from one irrelevant scene to the next leaving a completely disjointed mess.

The UI changes are not great either. It randomly forces slow text using the renpy cps tag so ignoring player settings (hint for devs: please don't do this!). It doesn't appear to even save the text speed setting. Sometimes you have to click on a special button to advance, other times you can just click anywhere.

To me it looks more like an experimental 'getting used to renpy' effort than an attempt at a serious VN. It was just more irritating than fun so I stopped playing before making much progress. Shame really, those pretty characters deserved a better story...

I really really wanted to rate this game higher. The renders are excellent, and the animations are startlingly awesome. Few devs have animations that are so smooth and lifelike.

That being said, man, the story is just ALL over the place with so little justification for whats going on. They also go to an indoor pool at night, which looks like its actually an outdoor pool in the middle of the day, and then they are on the beach and its day still. Followed by arriving home when its clearly dark and talking about making lunch?

Your choices don't seem to matter at all, as twice I tried to reject the character Kerry who makes no sense at all, and yet was forced down their path anyway.

The dev also can't seem to decide what they want to call the character Alice. Sometimes its Alice, sometimes its Alise, and other times its Alisa. There are plenty of the expected weird english mistakes or bad grammar that have become common place.

Additionally there is a relationship points element that is never explained, and i'm not even sure it actually matters.

If this dev would partner/collaborate with a writer that can smooth out the direction and handle the english translation this game could become seriously top tier.

Everything else - 1.5 stars

I'd recommend for the quality of renders and at least a decent effort for the writing. Only downside is there's lot of unusual scenarios and certain manners, but that i can personally understand since this is a lewd game. The characters are beautiful and looking busty, looking to be an excellent harem game with its consistent updates. Slow burn game with the asian characters, as of now the [EP.5] can be finish within 1-2 hr session.

*The game was rebooted, and the dev seems not worthy of support.

Renders are great, but everything else is meh. Def not a game u would download every update, but prob wait till its done and give it a try. I think the dev also doesn't know where he wants to take the story, and has back tracked multiple times in the comment section.

Amazing renders and animations. I really wonder what tech he uses to get those Mocap like animations.
The models are thick in all the right places. Everyone one of them. One of the best on this sight. It reminds me of Free Pass

That said 5 episodes in and nothing really happens. You're introduced to amazing looking characters, with a point system that isn't really explained. I'll definitely come back after more content is added

I don't write comments about a game, but for this one I can see the potential in it.
My comments are up to Ep.5 .

I know we are still in the "get to know all characters"-part, but we have
Sara, who is in the hospital,
Kara, who recently gave us some teasing,
the two kids, which did nothing big so far (good, bc not my style) and
the mother, who helped us out.
There is also the teacher and the drunk lady, who both hopefully get into action soon.
I forgot the mother lookalike from the house tour and Sara's Co-worker (money giver)

My Opinion:
What I would like to see for each episode/update:
I know it's a lot of work but there could be
-story(s) (about some character(s) ) and
-(at least) one X-scene. (not just touching, please.)

Sometimes we do not need many charaters but more depth.
The models are good. Try to do a scenario for one or two episodes like in Ep.5.
Each episodes could be like "one day" (waking up until bed) or "an event" (driving to a place and staying there for 2-3 episodes/days).
[[for futher understanding:
Story = information about character(s)
Action = anything that involves "movement" like switching the location or character movement ]]

"one day" could look like:
wake up/shower/breakfast - story - action - story - (2nd action/X-scene) - story into bed.

"an event" may look like:
day/episode 1: preperation to go to location and getting there
day/episode 2: enjoy the stay at location + "accident" before the event
day/episode 3: day of event with 50/50 story and action (for some characters) + getting back home.

You may also divide the event into character based episodes like:
event from ep.5
("and" is dividing the storys and its' participants.)
day 1: family and the mother lookalike
day 2: kids and the drunk lady
day 3: mother+drunk lady and random event with Sara or Co-worker arraving/coming to the event aswell.
day 4: *changing event "Resort" to "Party/Festival at resort" for a day*
--> go back home (new story)

Possible events may be:
-Vacation [Resort or Swimming park] (Family or other known characters)
-A day at the strip club ( Sara+Kara+Co-Worker+ random character(s) )
-A school day (teacher+kids)
-Shopping (+cinema) (any characters + any sort of shopping or film)
-Road trip with Kara
-Spin-off (characters become something different (not demon, ect. [keep the models]) like totally perverted or idk.)

Keep up your work. Things look good so far. I'll keep on watching your progress!

Really love the kinda slow general pace and visuals and art direction are really good as well. It just lacks content for now but I will definitely follow future updates!
As someone has said before, I simply hope the mom's path will really start soon even if it takes time for them to actually get to action together. Keep up the good work!

Good :
-Pro graphics.
-Good and interesting family and the blondy is cute.

Bad:
-Random story.
-Sex focused on side characters that i don't care about, especially the black bitch.
-Episode 4 and still nothing related to family corruption, my main reason playing is incest, it's fine if it was slow pace like other games , but here no progress or any plan or plot for that , no teasing or peeking, MC isn't even pervert , he's boring.

Damn, I feel like shit. Two games in one.... First, I play a game with that Asian pretty mom character. Then another game where there's a club with whores sharing themselves. So any enthusiasm I had is gone. This game is like a trap. So you get players to download and play the game, until you throw a bunch of whores in their face, which in turn gets players to delete the game. I don't understand why those club whores are made for this and in that way to ruin the start of a good game. Is there not enough imagination to make them anything other than club whores.

I wish I could rate more stars but if the beginning is bad how can the rest be good.
The only redeeming quality is that the CG and sound are good but CG only does not make a game. The story send you to one point to another withtout really explaining what you're doing there, you just teleport from one scene to another withtout transition. Some scenes make no sense like the one in class with the teacher or the end at the club in the bedroom, did you get sent to nap or to meet someone ? and then why is there nothing going on ? (and how do I got into that car ?).
And at the end of the first day where you have done almost nothing the MC is tired and pass out, but why is he so tired when he litteraly just napped 1min ago ?
Third day is so short that it does not fuck up too much but still, how time go so fast that night fall (from bright day light around 14PM to night) while you make a supposed short car trip with your girl.
Overall the story feel rushed and very unrealistic to me.

The game is really good. It has some of the best graphics I have ever seen combined with some of the best girl models, not just attrative but high quality and detailed. The animations are really good and feel natural for the most part. The only downside I can find so far is that there is very little content (each episode is 1 day) And this is specially true if you want to see the household girls content (there is none for them as of now). Also, your decissions dont really matter as you will see all scenes regardless in my experience. This is no necessarily a bad thing for me, but might be for people who care for consequences.

The heavy use of fixed text speeds is so incredibly annoying.

I can sort of grudgingly accept it if you use it a few times in particularly important scenes where it has some kind of substantial impact. But that's about it.

But this... we've got random greetings using fixed cps here. What in the world... just why?

To salt the wound a bit, the font speed preference is also reset on every launch.

Unfortunately, the issues by no means start - nor end - there.

The story is all over the place. It's a weird combo of the dullest, most stilted interactions possible stuffed into a surreal dream where you just sort of randomly shift between places as dull, yet improbable, things happen.

The actual dialogue is is even worse.

For all the effort that's been put into the models, it's a shame that everything else is doing it's best to drag it down.

I wouldn't even suggest checking this one out unless there's some signs of a solid and substantial rework from the ground up. There's just so little and so much nothing here that it's not even a matter of taste.

Great AVN so far.
Amazing renders and female designs, excellent animation, interesting interaction with every girl in the game.
last update (Episode 3 ) was a little short, but whats to come with the milf and the daughter and her blonde friend will be interesting. Also the interactions with the dark skinned stripper was well done. Well animated

This is just a mess, which is unfortunate since the renders are good and mostly unique.

Since @Morpheuspro review, it's gotten even worse. The story is so disjointed it makes no sense. The mc goes from innocent retard (or whatever is the pc equivalent) to dom over some rando girl that shows up, while of course still being a retard leaving his family at the hospital for hours on end during an emergency. I don't think I've ever rated anything below a 3 but not sure how this could get anything more than 2 stars.

To improve, there would need to be quite a bit of expansion on what's going on so scenes aren't so disconnected and make the mc at least someone partly realistic, consistent and not to appear so idiotic or less mature than a 4 year old. This last chapter/girl would need to be introduced later so that some of the above could happen/develop before we get to her so it makes any sense.

I hope this can be addressed since the dynamic in the household is actually something I'd look forward to.

The only reason this gets 2 stars is because of the renders. No idea why this doesn't have the shota tag because the MC is the type where you have to tell everyone he's "definitely over 18".

The dialogue and writing are terrible. Conversations barely make sense.

There's also a points system which seems useless except to tell you whether the woman liked or disliked what you said. But with choices such as "You look great." or "Yeah you're fat." it's hardly needed.

It seems to me a game that deserves a lot of recognition, I hope it progresses in terms of popularity, they are the type of visual novels that you hope you will not see with an "abandoned" rating (as happened with stars of salvation)

After playing this AVN all I have is just... confusion.

Good:

• Renders are amazing and unique. A lot of beautiful Asian faces.
• Easter eggs of Kaguya-Sama: Love is war: the not-your-mother's name Miyuki and one of the sound effects which is most likely from Kaguya Shinomiya.
• Animations are great.

Bad:

• The story is... wait, there's a story?
• A lot of characters just randomly appears (Like, literally random) within ten minutes of gameplay without any sense.
• Point system is clearly overused: within two episodes and less than twenty minutes of gameplay you've already made tons of point-related trival choices.

TL; DR: Amazing renders overshadowed by poor writing and inconsistent transition.

I gotta say this is excellent. What really distinguishes this is that the models are all attractive in a way that's distinct. They have their own appeal/style. I am kinda more interested in the other characters more than the title characters but even the title characters look quite good. I only wish I could customize the dialogue file but seem to be unable to. Also the animations while not the best (like they feel kinda "stiff") the "directorial" choices are good. The game feels inspired and immersive and not like some cheap/bad porno but like an actually arousing sexual fantasy.
