I'm starting Season 2 fresh, and I must say that unless I somehow magically had a pre-loaded save that skipped to the middle of the story already, I really cannot follow the pacing of the game at all. Characters are thrown left and right with little introduction and all the plot are being pushed so fast they're falling all over the place.

I guess that was a consequence of not playing Season 1, but it was clearly stated that S1 was not canonical, so what exactly is the story here? Where do I learn about each character before starting the game?
