Hi everyone. I don't generally comment here, but I wanted to quickly stop by and clarify some things that seem to be confusing some people. It's all written in the FAQ and changelog in the OP, but:
The "relaunch" update was a visual upgrade that fixed early chapter 1 renders and animations. Those who played the original may remember that the first release didn't have any animations whatsoever, so I wanted to redo those scenes as well as fix glaring issues with lighting, poses, and clipping. I've seen some comments that say the characters look worse and heavily changed, but Ms. Landa is the only character model who was remade; other than that, it was only certain hairs that clipped a lot that were changed.
I've also seen some comments describe a negative change in the early game's pacing. This also surprised me because the only fully new content I added was the breakfast scene with Wake and Sasha (a short cafe scene was extended into the Arigatos restaurant scene). Other than scene extensions, the biggest change was the removal of the game's first h-scene which was the pretty unromantic and rushed scene between Wake and Nora when they first meet; in this case, I decided it would be better to build their romance more slowly.
Altogether, the relaunch was 90% a visual upgrade that added animations and remade renders, but it didn't really change the fundamental story of the game nor did it wildly change any of the characters. I hope this clears some things up.
