So the reason I am thinking Late October is that it would essentially give 7-8 weeks for the developer to make Act 3. I think normally, it'd take 4-6 weeks, but given that the author wants to add in some QoL changes, that's why I'm thinking it'll be 7-8 weeks.

Hoping be earlier rather than later. Let's be honest, there is no complicated code and 90% of the VN is writing. Nearly all assets are reused over and over (hell, Lacey muct have 7 copies of that work outfit she can rotate through for the last 12 months heh). So the only really new assets he needs to make are any new sex scenes and anything specific for the Vegas trip/Isaac's home (if we even get to his house in this next update).
As VN's go, it's an incredibly simple one to 'create', the writing aside.

I added a couple of weeks of mental rest doing nothing, and another couple for a more planed act, the act 2 felt a lot more improvised to me than act1, so i wouldnt mind waiting some more in exchange for a more quality act with good twists. Those two changes pushes my guessed timeline a month, into Late November.
I hope that we get a earlier release than thougt, but i wouldnt mind the wait.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
Yeah, my uncle notified me of the update, I hope it comes sooner than later.
Act 3 will obviously have quite a bit of focus on FV and TM, we'll see how that intertwined in the rest of the drama.

Is it really really bad that I actually want a plan where FV is successful? 
I agree with this, but I'm sure the professor probably has a job outside of it, so I don't know how much free time they really have. I know Act 1, which was huge, only took like 2 months. However, I am a big Berserk fan, so I have learned not to get my hopes up for releases XD
The professor stated in one of their patreon posts that they went through several rewrites for Act 2. I have a few reasons for why I don't think that'll happen again
1.) The professor didn't expect many people to enjoy Love and Jealousy, so I believe they initially planned it to be a 3 Act game. Then they decided to expand on the story after a lot of people liked it
2.) The professor stated that they went through multiple rewrites of Act 2 before publishing it. I think it's related to point 1 in the fact that they were trying to story board and write at the same time, and they kept changing their mind on how to expand the plot. If point 1 is the case, then I still feel like they decided on a direction once they finished Act 2
3.) The professor stated that staying in deep dark stories made it tough on mental health (burn out), so I do think AHWG will help with that

I understand, its just that the act 2 feels very different in terms of style, tempo or even seriousness of the content. While the story needed a more light hearted tone for a breather, not sure if this is too much too fast. In a way i would like a return to the relationship between characters focus more than some spy games story. Lets see how the Dev surprises us.
I still find it amazing that Act 1 only took a couple of months.
About AHWG. Its still a story with horror undertones, if i dont remember wrong from when the poll was presented. And even if its fun to work on it, its still work, which is mentally exhausting. Thats why i added a couple of weeks of doing nothing. So the dev can be "brain dead" and rest.
I personally think that a couple of the Bad Endings will lead to FV being successful. It'll appeal to the NTR fans and just allow consequences for weak MC actions.Is it really really bad that I actually want a plan where FV is successful?
I like NTR games myself if they they written well. It's just that most of them are just "other person has magic penis" which I don't like
You may not have seen my initial predictions (I don't remember if I shared these ones specifically), but I think a couple of bad endings will be
1.) FV is successful in doing something to Lacey, and MC loses it and murders them (if you have high love)
2.) FV is successful in doing something to Lacey because MC is unsupportive of her. He keeps reminding her that she's worthless and toxic, and she breaks, taking Special K (low bad_guy/low love)
3.) MC makes Lacey seduce/fuck people to get information to defeat the NTR Villains. (not necessarily a bad ending, but still NTR. I think it is set up by the Jealousy Date and MC's thoughts during the No Fun path.)
4.) I think that at some point in the story, Isaac will have a chance to prove if he will try to take Lacey or not. It's hinted that even though Isaac claims he wouldn't do that, that people don't really know how they will act until they get the opportunity. I think this would be like, Low Isaac score (to make him decide to chase his own selfish desires) and low love/low bad guy (to make Lacey decide to just escape from it all)
Those are all the NTR endings that I think could potentially happen
I do think it's important to note that all these endings would result from MC being unsupportive to Lacey, telling her she's of no value and making her feel like she is toxic to MC (she is, but it'd make her give up on herself)
True! I will say that my Act 3 speculations all focus on Lacey, Mia, and Jeanette (with a side plot of NTR Villains going after Anna)
I'm really hoping that Lacey and Mia have tons of drama. I think it'd be a waste to have them in sin city together, and not have Mia try to push Lacey again. I want to see Lacey and Mia really get into a big argument about the past

This. If you look at the 'incidents' section of my timeline spreadsheet....you can see it clearly go from 0-100 IN Act 1 then pretty much completely fall off again in Act 2.
100% this. Most are absolutely ridiculous in story/plot and the reason.
I also like FMC's getting into prostitution/escorting/porn in games, but they are severely under represented in AVN's and also usually work better when it's a female protag and you're making the choices. Naturally that would not happen here but I think as per your suggestions, it could be a fun bad end path.

Definitely, I was very sad when the fallout of the K situation ended up with nothing.
And "punish mia" during the kw and having her being obedient is nothing (she also calls mc "bitch" during the quizzes if he gets answers wrong so, not really great), and she gets rewarded with the lv trip.
I hope that situation explodes, in the same way I hope Lacey comes clean about her past, the pimp should do the same, admitting her mistakes and atoning for them not only with Croc tears, but with real actions.
I hope act 3 gets back to act 1 length and faces the past (even recent past: jared, bastion) in a serious way and that the paths start being serious and deep again.
I often criticised the GFE choice for slut path and choice 1 of punish path for being utterly devoid of depth, only choice 2 punish actually pushes some boundaries.
Slut path especially had the chance to be extremely gratifying and like the one in act 1, face some deep themes about Lacey's past.
Instead we just discover that L was fine in shirting over her "prom" like it was nothing, courtesy of yhe pimp (which probably knew about it).

It's been hell for me. I'm playing Act 2 and I can't stand the idea of the couple being separated and forced to indulge in cheating. Even though I'm a fan of the cheating and netorare genres, I don't know what happened to me playing this game. I think the depth of the character descriptions is so great that it changed my preference. I really hope the developer thought of an ending where they can love each other and live in peace, like in a romance ending... not just thinking about it, but actually needing it, otherwise I'll go crazy for the rest of my life!
It is nice to see how a story like this affected you somewhat positively, it didn't do the same for others.
It is a testament of the author akill in bringing to life some emotions.
Sure there are inconsistencies and mistakes here and there, but the emotional "transmission" is undeniable.
There should be different endings, and a somewhat happy one is definitely in the trajectory (or at least it seems to be).
There might be also some worse ones anongamer1983 made a list some posts ago with some speculations.
Personally, I am still hoping for a bittersweet ending, an ending of acceptance but not of forgiveness.
This is valid for MC and Lacey, but also for Mia and possibly Anna (which will have to accept to be a third wheel forever).

Thats kind of the only option for a "good" ending, what else could he do? forgive that she did not give a damn about him for years, and even in some ocassions when already married? Best Mc can do is accept it and live with the pain, hope that the future good balances the damaging pain he has. I was gonna say that the relatinship will never be a "disney movie", but i have seen some of the content they have in their platform now...so i better shut up about it.
And unless things change quite a lot we seem directed to a similar to polygamy relationship, a tiered one trough, or as Lacey once said, a permanent free pass, to some of the girls. I kind of already tiered them in the post when i imagined them as part of a kingdom.
Now... imagine poor Anna or any of the girls in the future, wanting to be a mother and having to ask permision from Lacey to get knocked up by Mc, that would be a scene worth reading.
