Well now that we know the supernatural is canon it open a lot of fun things, like poor Lacey may not be a complete fuck up maybe she was possesed by a succubus, and Mia may not be evil maybe...no, she still is evil by herself. Not even being a fucking demon in disguise would excuse her. :ROFLMAO:

But yeah, while its fun to make it a shared universe, the supernatural dosent have anything to do with L&J style, i hope that they stay separated even if they share the same universe.
Seems a dumb move to me making a shared universe...but whatever. Maybe it will explain wtf Lacey went from abandoning the MC to starting college...

So are they just 'easter eggs' or confirmed shared world?

I am downloading the game right now to check, I mean, my uncle is downloading the game and will let me know.

I REALLY hope this is an inside joke, I know the author likes the supernatural stuff but it feels so out of place in L&J that it would definitely hurt my enjoyment of the game.

At least we got confirmation that act 3 will be next! can't wait!

It also means I am super late with my character sheets, damn.

I am rather new to the "porn games" concept and never really had much interest in them. Out of curiosity, I tried some of the traditional harem types that are more widely distributed on mainstream sites and found some of the stories rather amusing.

I ended up coming across the various NTR types and all I can say is while I enjoyed the emotional rollercoaster at times, the resolutions and the attention to the MC I found extremely lacking. Granted it is likely because most are serving a very specific appeal that I can not relate to, but I do find the concept of that emotional issue intriguing (ie cheating and dealing with the fallout).

This game attended more to the MCs story and his struggle which does not exist in most games of this genre (outside of a couple where the MC has some form of agency to express their frustrations in action or resolution).

While certainly this game has many flaws in numerous areas, the fact that there is extensive discussion on the characters and their interactions is kind of refreshing as well as the story having a flow of ups and downs that at least pay service to the MCs reactions.

While excuses as to the characters actions are arguable, I do feel that more attention has been put to trying to reason them as opposed to the traditional NTR style games with the formula of "MC is a loser small dick nobody who is lacking and so deserved to have his love stolen and be humiliated".

At least in this game, while I may dislike most of the characters (ie their actions and responses at times), I can at the least find "some" understanding in their various positions which while not entirely realistic, isn't completely without some form of reasonable explanation.

I honestly wish more NTR games (I know this isn't exactly an NTR game) approached the story to the level of detail this one does and to some means of creating a believable position of the characters. This story could stand on its own outside of a "porn" approach, though I do think the graphic depictions of some scenes are absolutely needed in order to truly capture the emotion when they occur.

It would be nice to see more games in this genre truly attend to the aftermath that this game does rather than that "ha ha, you are a loser, accept your fate as a cuck and be humiliated!" because the reality is that I think most aftermaths in reality would be nowhere near that "traditional" outcome. Then again, I guess I am seeking an actual reasonable story rather than a fetish in this.

Anyway, good game, it really made me think about a lot of things concerning these concepts (abuse, addiction, relationships, love, lust, depravity, corruption, betrayal, etc...).

It's only a train wreck if you look at it from the street. ;)
Right, from the inside it looks like a car accident, on live Tv, in a hurricane, while a volcano explodes in the middle of an alien invasion, as the universe is about to implode.

Really, theres full disasters movies with a lot less of a mess than this.

I am not through with the new vn, 3-4 hours my ass. I read 4 hours already and looking at the script im halfway through....
Professor Amethyst really does put out some hefty releases and updates. It's wild going from other games on here that put out updates with at most a half hour of content at a time. To PA who drops fucking novels every time. When I was initially playing LaJ I thougjt act two started after Lacey got back from her Damian trip. But nah that was like the half way point of Act One. They are a very prolific writer.

That's the point. With the possible exception of the tertiary characters, no one is able to see the big picture. Everyone is hyper-fixated on Lacey and the MC in this narrative.

My only concern is that he'll use supernatural elements to explain something about Lacey or something related to her, like a sort of deus ex machina, instead of writing a more realistic and believable story. Like an easy escape.

I really hope it dosent, Lacey being a fucking mess is one thing but atributing the college past or the cheating with Damian or the fake job or all of her bad decisions to something supernatural would kill all the acountability (not that theres much of that to begin with). She made the mess, she is responsable for all her decisions.

Joking by calling her a succubus is one thing, but trying to make her one or imply that what she or all the others characters did is because of the supernatural...that, i wouldnt like that, i dont think it fits with the game style, if the dev use the supernatural in this game as an excuse for any of the characters behaviour or as anything at all, it would be a bad move in my oppinion.

Yep, it would be a "get out of jail free" card that would invalidate everything. We would go from a somewhat realistic process of all of the aspects of the human condition to just "Oh, well... I am a succubus, it is merely my nature, you can't hate me... I actually learned to love! it isn't my fault... learn to accept the real me or you are just a hateful bigot!" where the cast then ramps up the dumping on the MC while he spirals further into self hate.

Oh and instead of "my poor brain, abuse, etc..." as an excuse for every bad decision she makes or has made, she would then be able to use the supernatural excuse as a means to proclaim she is justified in her "jealousy crave cucking".

I get this bad feeling of it turning out like "A Promise Best Left Unkept" where Issac and the college crew become the heroes saving the day because they are giving Lacy what she truly needs, so... you know... they care and all!, evil selfish MC! Go sit in the corner like a good little cuck! /sigh I guess I have seen too many crappy NTR games.

Well i finished AHFWG , and the videos are only mentioned once, so i really think it is just an easter egg.
Took me a good 6 and a half hours and i really like the story so far. Actually i really want to keep on reading. Therefore the prof did
a good job, atleast for me.

I was thinking more on the excuse for the college past, instead of being a literal sucubus, more of a something on her nature made her love sex so much that she couldnt stop herself and that something was some succubus ancestor or some shit like that. A way to justify her decisions to be the campus slut that its not the one that is presented actually in the game (that she just wanted to be and didnt know that she could just say no to mia)

Well i finished AHFWG
Can you spoiler me if there are supernatural creatures in the new game and if there are which kind?, im guessing the aunt appears as a ghost or similar but maybe im wrong.

Makes sense. I was just rambling off possible things to be honest. Like you, I was just seeing this as a means for the behavior to be excused/justified which would completely invalidate the MC's position in this. As has already been pointed out numerous times, multiple characters seem to gloss over the MC concerning his objections her past (and present) behavior. They fake pretend to sympathize with him, but then support Lacey in everything she does to hurt him via mild objection, keeping the secret, and so on.

The supernatural insert would just be a "nail in the coffin" so to speak and put the game much closer to traditional NTR stories where the MC is the problem and they are all just innocent people who were driven to their behaviors because of his failure.

As it is now, while the MC does exhibit numerous "traditional" moronic NTR MC behaviors, he does rebel quite a bit openly and forcefully (up to a point where he slides back into the standard NTR role) which allows me to at least see some worth in the story. Well... that and the fact that effort is put to try and "reasonably" explain the various betrayals other than the standard "sex is too good, he doesn't understand me, he didn't live up to my idolized standard, etc... and so deserves soul crushing retaliation".

This also seems to completely invalidate the story setups which try to give off the belief that the FMC is deeply in love with the MC. I don't see how anyone could go from "I completely love you in all that I am" to "You are worthless and weak and I want to see you suffer while I scream in pleasure getting railed by your worst enemy". In that, there was never love at all.

At least with this game, there is some aspect of "love" (regardless if it is healthy or not) between them and it is reasoned in a way that can be "accepted" with some argument.

I would love to see more games like this that focus on the aftermath of cheating. Honestly, I would be interested to see a lot more time on a story where the MC battles with it before and after (as L&J does)and then the story goes on to focus how he will deal with it in various routes (revenge, rehabilitation, FMC regret and stalking, humiliation, etc...).

Though I think that type of story is a very specific type of NTR game? I think I saw some type of name for it, being that the game wasn't about the deadfall complete demoralization itself as an end, but a component of the journey. I am hoping this game even if it doesn't have a "happy ending", it does actually have a "resolution" other than "MC is a loser".

Sure, in the first release are two "creatures" a Ghost and a Succubus (not Lacey lol) And everything happens with them in the house-
These two are wayward girls, not the usual orphans huh?
