The problem here is that then there would be no game...unless you branch off a path where the MC tells her to fuck herself, throws her worthless ass out and then...how does the game/story continue from there? Because the alternative, is for the MC/player to be an utterly pathetic loser by forgiving her. Plenty of those around already unfortunately.
A game where the MC does what the vast majority of men with any type of backbone would do...would be a very short story indeed lol.
Edit: To be clear, I am not talking about L&J, just an NTR type game in general.
Same way this game deals with the issue, but with different options. Go for the slow burn, build up and then apex for a resolution.
You could have a "forgive" path which could be drawn out similar to the same concept that L&J does with her trying, slipping, etc... (not one I would choose, but it is an option).
Other paths could be, a physical revenge, monetary and life revenge, etc...
They could be slow build ups... and even pretty devious and the planning could take time, buildup to the execution, then... there is the aftermath of that action to see the offending parties and how they "deal" with those issues.
Consider using some fanciful means to effect this. Maybe the MC visits a local herbalist who knows all kinds of things, or a medical specialist willing to give some "special" medications. It could result in making the antagonist impotent, then the FMC no longer has that "pleasure" connection from them, then considers in a panic they should try to remedy their relationship while the MC has prepared for a lovely revenge shunning or the like.
There could be violent ends "off with his head" *wink*, but in a manner the MC isn't implicated (stealth kidnap?).
There could be simply an "acceptance" (for the plan) while the MC "deals" with the crap while he changes all the assets into his name, records the actions of them to be released in a manner that gets them fired/banished/etc... and then when all plans go into effect, he gets to walk out with his head high while he dismisses the wife/antagonist as if they are dirt beneath his feet.
I have seen some suggest "taking her back", but then treating her like complete dirt pulling the strings, watching her grovel, building her to a confidence that she will be back to normal eventually only to pull the rug out at the last minute and dump her in the most humiliating way possible.
Honestly, the list goes on and on what could be and it could be drawn out, just like the NTR is built up, but with a satisfying end for the MC and maybe this is also a means to show a journey of the MC "coming out of his retarded NTR MC shell".
Point is, it is a story, and if written properly (honestly, the "finding out" has to be more clever, not this retarded crap you usually see), the roller coaster can be quite emotional on all spectrums from betrayal, complete demoralization, humiliation, etc... but then also ride to extremes in rage/revenge/reconciliation and forgiveness, or simply the "lone rider off into the sunset", sad... but with his dignity intact.
Sky is the limit to be honest.

One of my favorite "revenge" concepts would be targeting the very thing that the FMC/Antagonist prize most. For the FMC, it is usually the sex, the physical corruption and craving. For the Antagonist, is the the power of using sex, often under the lure of their "large appendage".
So, what is the best revenge? I already covered the antagonist (make him impotent in some fashion and then sit back and enjoy the suffering he experiences when he tries to "please" those he has corrupted).
For the FMC, I always thought something akin to a "accident at the acupuncturist" which results in all her pleasure centers going numb... (not sure if this is even possible, but it is a "reasonable" means to explain away in a story). The result is then she no longer can experience the very thing she made foremost in her life, sex... it literally no longer provides ANY satisfaction, numb... nothing... nada.
What would she do then? She no longer can experience physical pleasure, only emotional would matter now... but... the antagonist corrupter is often rude, cruel and demeaning, which the corrupted will accept because they enjoy the physical depravity of the activities. Once that is gone all they have is some guy who treats them like crap, but no real love or payoff, just... demoralization.
Would they run back to the MC begging for forgiveness? The loss of that "addiction" would certainly cause a reflection on what was meaningful... it could be torture for them, a state of complete breakdown, and utter panic. The dialogue between the MC, the interactions with the antagonist, etc... would all be quite interesting I think and you could put a healthy amount of time within these areas to see the suffering on that side of the fence, the regret, the "consequence", etc...
Or maybe not, you certainly could push it in other directions... point is, there is a lot of story to be had on that side of the fence and this is something we rarely see these stories attend to and something I think that L&J at least deals with to an extent however "honest" it may or may not be.
