Glad you enjoyed it, I think this game deserves much more visibility than it actually has.

Sadly you brought up one of the weak points of the game, there are many unanswered or unexplored threads.
Mia there is probably joking (granted it is a joke I would expect from a 16 yrs old) and Lacey completely misunderstand it.

The main question would be why would Mia joke like that with a person that takes everything at face value (or at least we are told so), is another question altogether.

But that is probably what makes some parts of the game interesting, no? so many questions...
I hope that the developer will give this game a high priority - it is somehow unique and outstanding... like you said it deserves much more attention !

From what I read in this thread, the dev shifted the focus on another game and maybe will be back on this in the summer.

I read this as well…. in the end focus lies in the decision of the developer…

but if he wants to read a broader fan community and convinced players he should consider to go on with this story… there is nothing comparable around … combined with exceptional story telling and arrangement….

Wow...that was....

My only complaint is when Lacey mistakenly text Mia (instead of MC) when she was out on work evening, was that the way and what Mia replied to Lacey was never brought up or mentioned....she was cold (understandably so).

In my opinion, you need to scrap whatever else your doing and focus on this gem. Who knows, could just be me.
ETC
In Patron, or by using the private messaging section in F95, tell him so he knows that this game has attracted a lot of fans so that this project becomes the main project. He probably doesn't know this yet

I think it's silly that people have to put "WARNING NTR IS IN THIS GAME DO NOT PLAY IF THAT OFFENDS YOU" in the intro of their games, not that it's the creator's fault, it's just childish that some people actually get upset that some imaginary waifu from a game they've played for all of 15 minutes did something with some character that has a different name over the text box, like really dude, you're upset over that shit? It's not real m8, just stop playing, go do something else.

I imagine you would not like being called out for something you like or don't like.

If you are straight I guess you would not like watching gay porn (lets say yaoi hentai so it fits your waifu comment) and would like to be warned beforehand.

So please, keep it civil and maybe on topic, there is a lot of fun stuff to discuss in this game without starting a NTR/no NTR debate..

Different strokes for different folks. Two sides of the same coin. blah blah...

A lot of people (from what I've gathered in my years of being on this forum) like to self-insert into these visual novels. They get lost in this fantasy that this is their life and the things happening are happening to them personally. So, when things they don't like happen, they take it personally. In turn, they rage over it because this happened to them, not some random pixels. It's unhealthy, but it's their choice.

Then on the other side, you got the smaller group of us that don't self-insert (myself included and guessing you as well from your post). We are just reading a story. Sure, we still get immersed in it and even get emotional over it as well, but it's just a story. Like reading a book (a "choose your own adventure" novel). We still might get bothered by certain things happening, but we don't take it personally. We mostly just discuss our disapproval instead of raging about it.

So yeah. What seems silly to you, might be logical to them. And vice versa. Best not to let it bother you so you can keep your sanity. lol

It was where she went to a club for drinks with her colleagues, and when she came back she was upset because he didn’t join her

She had mistakenly texted Mia instead of MC about going out for drinks that night.
Initially they were supposed to have an important talk, which was why the MC was waiting home alone and worried, until she came home late if i recall correctly

Yep, which I am sorry to say, shows again how low Lacey's investment in the relationship is.

Important talk? I have a party to go to, it will be more fun! Oh and dancing and getting groped by other men, obviously.

I don't know if the author intended to write her as not caring about her marriage, or at least way less than her immediate gratification, but that is how she comes across without a doubt.

Is this the one where she comes back all pissed with the new young co worker or there was a note on the door or something and the MC was like you never text me ever

I think it's written that way , so I have a theory that all of the other girls make up aspects of Lacey that she either never had or has lost due to her brain injury

one of the few games that the ntr scene was important but the story just was so powerful ntr didnt overshadow the story.
I agree in Lacey's mind it was genuinely meant to be more of an NTS scene but with her being so fucked up on drink and drugs she makes an absolute balls of it

i think it was the one with her female boss and the graphic design team, so the good colleagues, and not those other two guys

Correct. They went out from work (and yes, the new collegue and his gf drop her off and yes he leaves a bote on the door), she is pissed with the way 'he' replied but in reality it was Mia she text. What bothered me was the 'way' Mia replied and 'what' she said...little harsh (the way I read it) and that was just never brought up at all. I wondered why Mia replied the way she did, very off-hand, curt and altogether not giving a fuck. Makes me wonder if Mia is at the end of her tether, despite it being her that enabled Lacey's behaviour in the first place.

I am not sure, I think the writer missed the train here, he tries to show some sweet aspects of Lacey but misses the point by looking for some shock value.

In this situation, the Lacey that is hanging by a thread, just cheated in a very rough way just a few days before (without counting all the previous awful behaviour), forced MC to accept her flirting (1 or 2 days after her breaking all the rules that she set and destroying MC agency), is attacking MC relentlessly on his weak points, then she discovers her mistake and cries about it and all is forgiven.

We are left in the dark about what actually happened there, but looking at Lacey's past actions we kinda get that she is lying, after all people with a gf don't leave sweet notes attached to your door (a message signed by both could have made more sense).

I will state this again, the brain damage is a hoax, it is there but it is not the reason Lacey is acting like she is.
Even if she had chronic encelophathy (causes erratic behaviour), which she doesn't, the constant behavioural issues would not match, as she is confrontational and hurtful only to MC.
Not to her friends, not to the guy that tried to rape her, not to Isaac or Evan that did terrible things but MC writes some bad messages? Immediate retaliation with cheating, MC wants to stop the flirting or the dresses? More flirting and more dresses.

This is what people often miss when playing this game, Lacey is nice and almost submissive to everyone except MC, who is held hostage by his own issues and weaponized sex/emotional blackmail from Lacey.

She is lying to herself and everyone else about it, she is an addict looking for excuses for her behaviour.
Ketamine brain damage does not work like that, I already wrote extensively on what the actual damage is (serotonin and dopamine issues).

Her memory problems are false or overstated, she remembers everything up to dick size and the dresses she used to wear and when, even in the oh so hard "third phase".

Her NTS aatempt is never consensual by the way, so it is not NTS.
She wants to feed on MC jealousy, full stop.
If you look at the facts, not the lies (again she lies to herself to justify her actions), you can see that her explanations do not match at all.
Even before that if your husband says "stop", you stop, unless you are enjoying his suffering, knowing full well there will not be any repercussions.

Correct. They went out from work (and yes, the new collegue and his gf drop her off and yes he leaves a bote on the door, she is pissed with the way 'he' replied but in reality it was Mia she text. We don't know how Mia and Lacey interact in private.
Mia is jealous that Lacey was able to move on from the abuse she subjugated Lacey with.
Maybe this is how Mia is written, the "fun" girl, even if her idea (and maybe the writer's) is high school freshman level (Anna wants to give you a blojob? Is that a funny joke to anyone that reached puberty?).
I don't think Mia is at the end of the rope, she happily joked with Lacey about dick sizes after Lacey cheated and her husband was missing for hours.
I mean, husband with suicidal tendencies goes missing for hours after a tragic event, but hey do you remember how good I got railed by that dick? Totally normal behaviour, right? (Again I think this is the writer looking for shock value but also shows that Mia loves being in the center of Lacey attention).

So Mia is fine with Lacey, she just made one of her "funny" jokes IMO.

That said Mia should have been gatekept from the friends circle by Anna and MC, she is a disgusting character (abused Lacey for years, abused MC and tried to break off the marriage, couldnt even show happines for Lacey when it happened) with her own agenda working against Lacey and MC.

Edit: the main issue of the writing here is that a lot of stuff is left behind and never explained, to try and give uncertainty and shock value, but that leaves more and more flaws in the story, especially if you read it more than once.
I hope that the author will give most of the answers in act 2, or modify act 1 to include these explanations.
