No compression?
It's Unity, so doing WebM/WebP compression is harder (and more or less impossible if you're not the dev; there's no built in webp decompressor, so you'd need to write your own). It's also a long game, around 10-15hrs, even if you completely ignore the combat and side-events.

Book 1's complete, ; now working on Book 2.

Oh boy, never even occurred to me, that's pretty funny.
Even better is that I use open back headphones and my wife noticed

"What are you listening too, sounds Irish..."

 "It's SCOTTISH..."

I didn't actually roll my eyes at my wife. Her family tree is three branches of Irish and one German... too scary.

Poker? Talk of gameplay-narrative dissonance.
Seems interesting! Urban fantasy is not that popular, and that's a shame.

Gameplay-narrative dissonance? Have you played? The lore of the game is that people typically interact with their magic via a game of some sort, usually one with progressively rare play actions, leading to stronger intensity... so poker fits perfectly... :)

One of the other characters says they see a 'match three' type game in their head. (like Candy Crush or Bejewelled... I would assume)

It works well for the combat system.

I agree about urban fantasy genre... :( I am a huge fan of the pen&paper RPG called Rifts by Palladium Games (magic, monsters, mecha, ley lines and rail guns )

I took 2 days to tinker with the game to . It's only two acts (ends where Emily finds out about Molly), but might be interesting to some people.

I'll be testing it tomorrow, the hopefully putting it up on places like Newgrounds afterwards. Let me know if does anything terrible :D

Not terrible at loading... took less than 30 seconds to get into the menu with no caching. I got through to the first Chloe bathroom scene, so loading, dialogs and poker touched, and nothing bad happened.
It does look like the button for full screen in the bottom right corner is overlapped/redundant with the one the game engine or browser puts there automatically? It also interferes with the UI in some cases... and still shows up after the game is full screened but doesn't do anything... (I'm assuming the blue one is yours)

That's good, I like your content!
Thx! :)

I mostly did the WebGL version as a way to get more people to see the game; a lot of people who play seem to enjoy it, and this is the easiest way to play (some people have this irrational worry about downloading EXEs from a porn pirate site). If they like it they can get the other 4 acts from here or somewhere else.

Recently got a 4TB external so I wouldn't have to keep making room to download new games. Downloads folder is up to 661GB. God that took forever for Windows to calculate space used in that folder.
Ahh yes, fellow patron of the arts... I have been trying to decide between a 2TB SSD of some sort or 8-10GB HDD... decisions decisions... tis a hard life... data hording...:coffee:

I had a 5TB Seagate external HDD that went tits up... I was nonplussed with the loss... twas my own fault, not backing up shit that I cared about onto BDs or something, but alas... :cautious:

OMG... I didn't realize on my first playthrough that the phrasing you joke around with while talking to X about it was the actual question you end up using... So... much cringe... gak, it hurts.

"How about we go stretch the chocolate starfish..." I'm so sorry, Bella... who's such a good girl, Bella's the best girl, yes she is...

Edit: It's just a game and yet I'm sitting staring at it, not wanting to click... FFS...
