First of all, I am enjoying Love of Magic even though I am not very far (Act III), so TY.

FYI and others with this issue, I downloaded the win 64 1.2.1 ver from mega and it says 1.1.12 on the title screen and is missing the MC and Emily.

The Main menu actually changes as you play. It starts out empty, then adds in Katie, Emily and Chloe, then once Book 3 starts it shows MC and Emily back to back, her wearing her plate armor, him wearing his human military uniform and the staff. As the characters change, the main menu background also changes.

For example, this is how it looks at the beginning of Book 3:

Also, if I have the win 64 1.1.9b ver and I get 1.2.1 should I just move my saves? Will I be missing out on content or just bug fixes?

1.2.1 will use the same save folder as your current version (and the same save folder as the Steam version, if you decide to switch there later).

Yeah, you can't buy it until Steam greenlights it.You CAN however give it a wishlist, which is a free way to help it at launch (affects steam's analytics, and gives it a visibility boost at launch). I do however give out Steam keys to any Patreons supporters that want one, including book 2 ones.

I've already wishlisted it, no need to worry about that

I don't use patreons, and I don't use discord anymore since their latest TOS update, so I'll just wait for it to be available on steam then

because i understand the moral of a story but that kingdom deserved to go down!

who the fuck sends such an important message without an escort? yes loose an horse use another one of your 3 spare mounts like the mongols would say, or just use the sergeant at arms horse and he can walk there like the french would do!

or send 2-4 courier pigeons like the Belgium would have done or a raven like the old Norse and the Slavs did or send 2-4 messages one by sea another by road another by river and one stuck in a whores asshole .... (not gonna tell you who used that method... its still effective!)

although my favourite trope in such stories is when the messenger is truly the message, like he is the heir of the betrayer lord or he is the prince of the kingdom (the last male child... bastard kind off) or my favorite... the message reads kill the messenger and the messenger ends up killing the lord who got the message and most of his retinue.... meaning you either got rid of a rival in the messaged or a danger to you in the messanger!

It might or might have more to do with MC meant to be the hammer in his prophesies if we might call them that and not a blunt forced one to succeed, we will find out though over the course of book 3 what the exact meaning of subtitle is if it will not have more meanings anyway. It could even be a reference to Spear of Longinus, if very unlikely since Droid does not really seem to use Christian mythology in game as such, but more pre Christian versions.

His true mantle was his connection to Emily but at the end of book 2 he finds her wedding ring with no sign of her around, a portal opens up and Emily comes through it but not the loving Emily. It seems she barely knows him meaning his mantle should no longer be complete. He isn't married to the Emily he is with now.

It seems like he's gone to a different time but where a lot of things we saw happen haven't happened. He isn't married to Emily meaning he never got his god powers.

It's weird because he still has X but that Emily didn't know he did so they don't seem to have the same relationship.

I am so glad that you had the same initial reaction I had.
Then I realised the dev already took us for a very good ride, and I just hope book 3 will be as awesome as book 2 was.
It could also mean that for some reason, some parts of the creation of "father"is disappearing and that sorcery is needed to reverse that in some way.

Book 1 was good, book 2 was awesome.

Droid has a lot to live up to but i'm confident he'll deliver. Considering I found the game not only good but worth owning on my main Steam account I use a lot should say something.

I've only just played through both books yet will have to do so again when Book 2 goes up for sale for those lovely achievements.

The thing I find amusing is the 2 least powerful mages, the cam whores, are now 2 of the most central characters in the game. Sarah went from giving lap dances to stay young to being powerful enough to fight against gods. Molly went from being someone they all hated to the MC's first Chosen and best friend of the Queen of Camelot.

Not quite sure what's going on there; I'll be uploading new Book 1 builds today, mostly just some small fixes that I did while waiting for Book 2's final release.

It sure looks like you had a lot fun tinkering with them signatures and did well too, it also shows you have dedication for your game as well, which is always nice to see.

I initially started making Signature images after getting inspired by his work, and the first round of sigs I made (including the Emily's reflection in the Sword one I still use till today) were all based on his Fan Signature Template thread. Book 2 to 0.9.3. It's not *quite* the final Steam build (or it would have been named 1.0.something) but it's had a lot of testing, and so far nothing critical seems to be broken. I'll see what happens when more testers hit it, and once I'm satisfied its as solid as it can be I'll make a 1.0.0 build.
