Also the Love topic will do the same as sex as long as she asks if you ever been in love. I generally just stuck with the TV until level 10 since giving the same book over and over lowers your lp whereas the talking doesn't. Is it crashing out of the splash screen? Or is it just hanging for a while? The game takes a while to load.
If it is crashing out of the splash screen then you might want to delete the entire directory, re-download and reinstall

It loaded a bit longer the first time I tried, but still crashed in the splash screen.

Sometimes it crashes after 2 seconds in the splash screen, and I think the longest it took to crash was roughly 8 seconds.
But I still can't make it past the splash screen.
