VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Love Thy Neighbor [v0.16] [Slonique]

If you've ever wanted to roleplay as a sniveling pathetic cuck who lets other men walk all over them in a pathetic attempt to not offend anyone and prove you're not racist by allowing a black guy to rape your neighbor and demand money from you which you happily hand over like a pathetic little bitch then this is the game for you. If you actually have some shred of dignity and self respect, then you'll hate this game like I do.

Whoever wrote this VN must be the biggest loser on the planet if he thinks this is what his hero should aspire to be.

When a game shows most sexy woman as the most undesirable one in whole game.. is it good or bad? She is such dick crazy nympho that she is no longer potential partner for our MC. At the same time her doughter is her sexual opposite. One is a nympho and other is innocent cute girl.. After that we have our sister.

Game is boringly linear. Almost no existing possible other routes to advance in this game. Renders are good. Game mechanic. Almost bad but playable. Plot? Linear like a stright line. Go elswhere and Gamve Over. Soo.. its shouldn't even have other choices to begin with. Watch this story from beggining to end and do not name it a damn GAME. Couse it does not have anything which player can decide besides advancing story or Game Over.

The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs... The version this review is based on is v0.6.1...

This is a very linear based visual novel/game with lots of player punishment dead ends... And of course it has the ever so overused Family Sex stuff as well...

The visuals of the characters are decent, even though the neighbors daughter really doesn't look or act like an adult woman... The backdrops are alright, even though some are ones we've seen dozens of times before in other VN/Games...

The script is pretty good, with very few spelling/grammar errors... The plot revolves around a male protagonist professor who is falling head over heals for the neighbors daughter... But of course he has lots of other sexual encounters along the way, to include the neighbor herself as well as an ex-fiancé... He dreams of having sexual relations with his younger sister as well, who ends up moving in with him...

The older neighbor apparently has an overcoming addiction to sex and likes it rough... The neighbors daughter acts like a very naïve older teenager, but really doesn't look or act like she's an adult... The sister must have some sort of split personality, because one moments she's this nice loving sister, which is how she is in the beginning... Then out of nowhere, after meeting the neighbors daughter, her personality shifts to a tough, rude, untrusting, and maybe manipulative, with how she treats her brother sometimes... It's just a total change, with out reason or explanation... It's odd...

He also runs into his ex-fiancé at his job, which just seems so out of nowhere, especially how fast the encounter plays out, to include oral sex, without anything in the way of lead in or seduction... Just goes from, hey close your eyes for a sec, to hey lets do some erotic stuff, then she leaves... Screams gratuitous and non-story related sex encounter...

The biggest issue this VN/Game really has is it's Karma system with choices... Many choices lead to dead ends, and not enough Karma for the right scenes leads to dead ends... This VN/Game is basically forcing you down a very linear path of story progression... You pretty much either have to save game with every single choice, or go find a walkthrough... Why even bother with choices at that point? Nothing is worse when reading a visual novel with constant looming player choice punishment...

Overall, this VN/game tries to play out like a love/romance story, but sometimes it's very difficult to tell if it's just with the neighbors daughter, or if it's a bunch of other characters as well... It feels sometimes like the story is all over the place, just for the sake of adding gratuitous erotic scenes, that don't seem to have much bearing on the main story... Sometimes the story plays out like a B-Rated porn flick, and other moments it plays out like a normal romance story... It just can't seem to make up it's mind... Which throws the whole story balance into chaos...

Now, this VN/Game is still going through development, and it has improved somewhat from the last version I tried last year, but not by much... I really am not a fan of player punishment dead ends, especially in this quantity... Will I revisit this one? I don't know, because I'm a sucker for romance/love stories, but this VN/Game feels a bit discombobulated sometimes... Guess only time will tell...

Who in their right mind would possibly think that ...

a) making every choice a coin toss between either progressing the "story" or a game over
...or...
b) disabling text skip in renpy

would be good ideas?
Neither of them is. There isn't even a reason to talk about anything else in regards to this "game". Ignore and move on. Not even worth the time it takes to download.

Compare too many other new games this year, where most of female actors running around with a “Milk Station” I call these breast sizes this way. When I go “down under” to lick her to look over the Himalaya in the rest of her face is boring. I like nice breast and asses if a women or teen have as in this game a nice body its fine for me. So that one of the reason beside the good quality way I like and the fetish games are ok but still to many with oversize asses and breast. This game is a fine break between this as well that the nice body’s from BB and Dmd are gone.

Why have choice if there is only one path? He'd be better off keeping the game linear and changing the flavor text instead of pretending there is a choice like grab ass or not grab ass.

Anyways this game is garbage the only thing that made it tolerable was the mother was hot eventhough she was a slut. Now it wants to be dating my daughter without the story. Does the dev really think people who played up this point want to slow play the daughter? Game was greasy fast food now it's not even that.
