Either go all-in with whatever kinks your aiming for or don't bother with them at all. Maybe someone will make an actually good incest patch that gets rid of the stepcest and makes them all blood relatives but at this point I'm done with it. I mean WTF was the point of making a mostly useless patch that just makes them steps when 96% prefer actual incest?

It comes from laziness and need for instant gratification (or at least the closerto instant the better), people wanna read/fap to an AVN, not read about it in a thread, change logs, or dev notes. Probably not many read manuals either before playing with their new widget they bought. But why didn't the uploader do what you did before uploading it? When people see an incest tag with "incest prepatched" in the OP they expect blood relatives by default, like just click the .exe and go, at least the vast majority do, and most of those same people have no clue on which files to edit and what to change them to if it's not what they expect. It's why others make patches for them they only need to drop/overwrite in the /game folder . At least some of us will maybe read that post and learn how.
If you look at Darklord's post three post above your post it walks you through changing the relationships from stepsis to sis and so on. (it's best to keep the changed charas.rpy so you can just replace it when a new update is released).
