Overview:
This game is, more or less, a homage to the old Japanese VN titles of my younger days. Those Alicesoft SLGs were some of my favorites as they not only had great art, but fun gameplay as well. Hopefully this doesn't run the risk of alienating my adult-gaming peers, but this game attempts to be --well a game.​

Is those "forage" mini games glitched or am I doing something wrong? I click on the cards but they flip when the game feels like it, so I'm always running out of time.

To be completely honest, this project is shamelessly emulating Nangoku Dominion by Softhouse Chara. Obviously some gameplay elements will be dropped and my writing won't capture the nuances, but hopefully my own take holds everyone's interests.

The original code does matching based on text as opposed to images (cards). Alex from the lemma soft forums was helping me integrate it, but I forgot to address that issue.

For now, you can get it to work by clicking on the topmost portions of the cards. I'll include some tutorial screens for the eventual 0.1.0 release so it won't be as confusing!

I have some scrapped scenes from a game I privately worked on earlier in the year, but I'm pretty neurotic so never quite satisfied. That said, I'm going to have a "realistic progression." Early plans is to have a dream sequence for teasing purposes ^^, but then you're in for foreplay to start.

Progression is infinite (basically you'll either die of resources or willingly trigger an ending condition). The various routes and how the game's going to progress I'll get more into over the course of the next few days.

*Do note I addressed this on the patreon, but what you're asking is very long-term. I want to wrap up most of the gameplay elements (so gimme that feedback!) before major story progression.

Fine by me! If you can't do Sudzukuri Dragon, Nangoku Dominion is probably my favourite Softhouse Chara game

That said - I seem to be having some trouble with the forage screen. The tiles all flash and are largely unresponsive to clicks. I'm lucky if I can open two in the whole of the minigame. Then, of course, it tells me I may have missed something.

Am I right it's a memory game? Remember which tiles match which other tiles? I seem to recall that from the original.

Umm, the dev already addressed this 4 hours before you posted. You are reading all the messages in the thread right? I mean this is not even 2 pages yet.

I went ahead and adjusted the vbox so the next release should be more responsive. ATM, I'm finishing up some screens for relationship and ability panels. Also slowly integrating more of the stats!

As I've stated, those looking for story progress will unfortunately have to wait for more of this "under-the-hood" work to get ironed out, but yea... think of the 0.0.1 as a proof of concept. Please just bear in mind that this is all new for me so your feedback will really speed up the process for me. Patreon news is public atm, so comments there will make it feel less of a graveyard T.T. If not, I'll still be checking out the thread since I've only been "active" on f95zone.

Oh well, hopefully the world will not end due to a duplicate bug report.

Hmm, I'm still working on the mechanics so the console codes won't really do much until the story is more fleshed out.

Anyhow version 0.0.3 is out with a new scene for those interested! I anticipate 1-2 more mechanics updates before I can devote more time to scenes/story progression.

On another note...I'm not sure how to advance with the new Patreon Guidelines T.T. I've been vague on the content of the game thus far, but one of the main routes I've planned is with the sister. I doubt I'd garner the attention of the major Patreons out there, but it is a bit worrisome =\.
