No. It is still a light hearted type game, but we are now getting more into the important plot points of all the main character's stories. So more important decisions are coming up and you see the conflict for each main character that they are struggling with. Sasha is like that because of Gretel. Gretel is a twisted character and is more connected to the main story overall of Argleton. That whole profile change of Sasha is written by Gretel, since Sasha mentions in the update she is the one who has been giving you clues in the profiles. This time Gretel did it and was taunting you

I know you are just translating, but just clarification in general about the Sasha profile thing, Gretel is the one saying those things, and is intentionally trying to taunt you since she is pretty messed up

It might be because it is December in game because of christmas and the snow. Just continue to the next month and it will show up again. This works with finding Cassandra again too

It ain't light hearted harem type game anymore if we are literally given first row on decorating a wall with Sasha's brain.
I would even argue it wasn't a light hearted harem type game to begin with, given all that violence, manipulation, half-truths, blackmail, death and death threats. They have lesser of a impract only because they are mixed and hidden alongside touching music, sexual intercourse with various girls, jokes and funny situations.

So is Sasha dead as in really DEAD - or is it just just one of those mind fuck situations?
(Aka bad dream scenarios, etc.)

Also, how many others girls are getting an ax to the back of the head before the game ends abruptly?
Would love to believe this story is still light hearted, but my eyes told me other wise?

Sasha is really gone. Sasha's story is concluded when Gretel took over her body and now Gretel is doing the mind fuck stuff. Felicia was trying to prevent Gretel from reviving but was too late. It was also what Alia was trying to prevent too when she returned as well. Sasha had a part of Gretel's glow in her just like lucky has a part of Winsor's glow in him. The thing is there are already memories of potential future's with other girl's in the game like Maxy and you doing a band tour, or you and Layla having a kid. You don't see any of those with Sasha because even she said her future seemed blurry. Sasha was important because of Gretel and Gretel has a huge importance to the story so it is an outlier. Argleton itself is peaceful with people like Prim, Charlotte, Maxy, Layla, Liz, Clara, ect that fill the town. It is the people the come to it that add dark elements like Sasha, Gretel, or Yaeko. Also its hard to say it isn't light hearted when you have someone as positive and precious as Prim in the game XD

For links not working, they may be region locking issues making them unable to work for you. However if it works for some & not others, report the post and be descriptive of the issue and a mod will look into the link if they need to remove a dead one.

The story went just so much over the top, it's exhausting. Paired with the recent decrease of scene quality (fluid > cheap loops) it's just going to shts.(n)o_O
