While there are a lot of cuties in the game, I just can't get past the MC being a class A dumbass. He says and sometimes does the stupidest things. As someone who plays these games to self insert, I just cannot with Lucky the Moron. My last straw was when he was talking about taking Prim to a gaming con where he would continue to bet, because nearly being killed over it was not going to scare him away from doing something stupid again. Sorry Prim, Yui and all the other cuties, I had to delete you.

I love this game, I love the story and the mystery surrounding the fact that the main character can sometimes “see the future.” I'm even curious to see if the creator will ever say “after a few years...” and completely change the game by introducing new models. It always gave me the feeling that “it's a game that's eternally in development” and at the same time, “the end is getting closer and closer.” In any case, congratulations to both of you for this great game!

Sadly,I have to agree.
And, sadly, it's quite common thing in a lot of VN's to use MC as dumb/charming/smart/retarded just to move plot forward. It's even more annoying if said MC can be named. I mean, at that point, if I name a characterr it becomes my character. Even I wouldn't be so that dumb in few of those situations.

See, this doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Sure, on the surface I get that people wanna self insert as their character and behave the way they would, but like... the game isn't gonna actively rewrite itself around your preferences, y'know? Just because you entered your own name or whatever pseudonym you prefer doesn't make the MC automatically act like you. That's impossible. There's no way to account for every single possible player's tastes.

I don't ask them to be my carbon copy, just to not be either the biggest moron in existence nor be a total asshole. I can deal with stretching credulity to a point, I just don't want "my" character to be completely unlikable.

Well, obviously, I am not expecting the game to cater to my every whim, it's impossible, unless I write the plot myself, which means I may very well make my own VN. But if I am allowed to name the character I am playing with I do expect to have some form of control over my character and to not to be a clueless tool in the most obvious situations.

Immersion is rather important to me, if I want to fully experience the journey as if I was there. If it's broken it's not the end of the world, but it matters how immersion was broken. If my character is doing something seriously dumb, it's like telling me I am that dumb.

For example, something as simple as breakfast.
My MC is alone in the kitchen, having coffee and pancakes for breakfast he made it himself.
Well, my immersion is broken instantly. I do not drink coffee and do not like pancakes.
Why would I make myself such a horrible breakfast in the first place?
Because the person writting it assumed as such. And assuming something for player character is the worst course of action that can be done.
But we can't just leave at "MC had a breakfast", becuase it's... simple. How we make it more entertaining?
By allowing player to have a imput in the game. It doesn't have to be anything big, but allowing player to actually interact with the NPC and world is going to make it more meaningful.
And thus, allowing player to actually pick a breakfast option from few presented. It won't change anything, beside giving the player a much needed interaction in a interactive game.

So, why giving an option for player to name his character, if instead of interacting with the world and NPC's, said character, and thus player, is used as plot device? Just don't do that.

I am perfectly fine with a named character, not having problem with not my character choices, because those are not mine. I am merely following thier story.

So you want... more choices, ones that don't impact the story, that guess at your preferences? Seriously?

Like, okay, don't get me wrong I get the frustration sometimes of a character acting dumb or being a jerk or whatever in a situation where you'd expect another course of action to be very reasonable. It's usually plot motivated when it happens, but it can still be frustrating.

But choices for what breakfast they eat because the arbitrary collections of pixels on your screen aren't foods you like? That's the example you go with? Okay, fine. You get three options for breakfast. What if none of them are appealing to you? What if you like all of them, but someone else hates them all? How about deciding when your character goes to the bathroom, or what shirt they wear each day?

I can understand being frustrated by particularly stupid actions or by a lack of choices in important scenarios, but c'mon now. That's just ridiculous.

What I can say is that you, the player, and the MC(Lucky) are supposed to be different. Which at least for me, gives him some grace on doing stupid things since he isn't supposed to be me, I simply help guide his actions from time to time.

I do wonder where that plot point is going actually....

One of my favorite games graphicly but if my Mary/Maxy queens are not getting more content then I don't care. Her/their mother is kinda hot too, I would make it a family affair.

Hey guys, I recently downloaded this game and I'm enjoying it. Could you give me some general tips on how to progress a bit faster? I know the game is a few years old and I don't really know exactly how the progression works, although I already have a couple of girls who are somewhat advanced.:WeSmart::WeSmart:

I'm confused about one part here, the game came out around 2019, right? Yet when you open and check through many of the events of the characters it says "work in progress" for some of the first characters you encounter in the game! Maybe it's just leftover text or it means something else in the game, that's why I'm asking.
