Early Access.

The game is not completed. Rather this is one of the final, if not the final early access build before the game enters its 'release' state. A game can be in its 'release' state and still not be completed. You can find several such examples here already. "Final EA" doesn't automatically mean "Game done".

To clarify: Final does not equal "Finale".

Far as I can tell, the developer's native language isn't English, and as such, some things regarding syntax, or phrases that are common in their language (I believe Spanish) don't translate well over to English.

This has nothing to do with translation error. Every version has had Alpha, then Beta, then (usually, depending on how bug finding/fixing goes during Beta) Final releases. A lot of devs use a similar versioning system, some just using another word for the "Final" release of a version (but Final and Full are the most common words I've seen used in this context). Early Access simply means that it's a build made for patreons rather than the free release that's meant for everyone

because...it's the story. It's not about choices(i think), it's meant to happen, but considering the mindfuck that is this game, the plot will be about bringing her back....

and now let's hope Gretel doesn't comes out of the game and jumpscares me again(i barely slept because how anxiety inducing this update is)
