I would say it is pretty clear that in this game the women are extremely emancipated, so the mc doesn't has and he will never have any right to say something about what clothes they will wear of the behaviour they will adopt. Moreover in this game the society is extremely open about everything revolves around the sex, so in this setting it would be weird be some sort of puritan.
Yeah the society is open but that does not make it good - the job here should be for the MC to start to make it a better place without the rape and sexually open society so decent people can live in a civilized society - no-one wants to have it that women are accosted while walking home etc... they deserve respect as do good men

At any point in your road map, do you intend to add the world map to the codex?
I know it is not very detailed at present, but it could be a useful point of reference as the story/world grows (for example show where the Silver-Vein mine and Camp Tawny are). A bit niche maybe, but I'm a bit nerdy about maps.

Are you aware you are playing a porn game?
Moreover, are you aware that the main character of a game, in order to achieve his goals, must be astute? So he cannot impose his moral standard, he must make people do what he want.
Are you aware the one who decide what are the mc's moral standard is the developer, not you?

This is not about the game or anything, more that this person wants to voice his opinion, no matter what, and feels attacked if you don't share his point of view; best thing follow Maviarabs and HP example, your Sunday will be more quite and wholesome.... ;)

The way women dress has nothing to do with the prevalence of rape and sexual assault. That's a guy problem, not a woman problem. Rape and sexual assault has existed throughout history and was significantly worse (in terms of how much of it there was) in the past than it is now - when women are at their most liberated in history and people in society have easier access to adult material than they have ever had before. It is likely that the deeply unhealthy way that many societies view nudity contributes towards the problem. By making nudity and sex a taboo thing, it makes it something that is hard to get access to and something that people have to supress their desires/reactions to, which in turn make it become fetishized and obsessed over. When I was a teenager, seeing a tit was enough to get me excited, because it was new, exciting. Sex was desired, to a degree that is basically an obsession for everyone my age, with extraordinary social value placed on getting any form of it. Now I'm in my 40's and I've seen a fuck load of boobs and had a lot of sex, it isn't. Although I certainly do appreciate their aesthetic qualities. The more of something we see, the less shocking or exciting it becomes to us, making it less desirable. The rarer and harder it is to achieve, the more desirable it is and the more likely someone who doesn't have it and can't get it will take it.

The MC is going to want to make the world a better place for sure. But making women (and men) cover themselves up isn't my definition of a better society. If you want to stop rape/murder/sexual assault then the way to address that is at root cause - what societal factors are making it so that behaviour is acceptable or common? It's bad or no education, a lack of value on human life, a lack of respect for other people, a lack of understanding of the opposite (or same) sex and their needs and desires and how to be attractive to them, repressed desires, lack of opportunities and extreme inequality.

I hadn't, but it's a good idea. I'm somewhat nervous to open up the software I used to create the maps because it's gone through a ton of updates and I'm concerned the ones I have already created will be broken... but yes I'll have a look at it.

Click the purple map icon in the top right, then the star icon, then the icon for Emelia, play her event. Then do the same but this time for Lilly, then again for Sarah. Once you have done those three events, do the same, but instead of clicking the star, click the envelope and the 2nd cartographer's mission will be available. I'm going to do some work on all this to make it more intuitive as you aren't the only one who hasn't seen how to progress the story.
Thanks, but nothing happens after I click the purple map icon in the top right and then the star icon. The icon for Emelia inside the star icon is not highlighted - there is no way to click it. There are multiple icons for the different ladies, but none of them, including Emelia, can be clicked.

What platform are you playing on?
Can you load a save from before the end of the first mission and then run that mission all the way to the end. You should get notifications pop up saying the galleries have been updated and that an event is available for Emelia, 10 days have passed etc. Then the patreon screen will show explaining that it's end of content.

Also have you downloaded any of the old patches that were on here? They overwrite script files for older versions, so if you applied one of those to this version it will break (the 0.3 minor bugfix patch is fine).

hello,
Not sure if I made a wrong choice somewhere, but I think I may have found a bug,
I have done everything but the 2nd Cart mission, (Balance path)
everyone on max points, Emelia is at 3/3.
but soon as I accept the 2nd Cart mission, Her points jump to 3/4.???
I have not done anything! I still in her office! I had no new choices to make,
Is this a bug?
or is there a way to get Emelia to 4/4?
(Save attach below is from just before accepting 2nd Cart mission, hope it helps)

Thank you, yea it's a bug. Will be corrected in the next version, the max is 3 at that stage.

I'm aware that the dev wants to make money on his game / story and that to do so he needs many different kinds of people to take interest in it - I for one like the story just not the flaunting of women as sex objects - especially if they are my LI that is all
the slightly less sexual flaunting will not alter his story that he wants to say - and by the way if the MC wants to help change the world for the better - he is perfectly ok to protect women in his circle from assholes - End of Story

The last week has been an interesting one for me. 0.3 went public and feedback was generally positive, but there was also a fair bit of negative. I feel like overall it was OK, but that I made a couple of miss-steps with it. So what did I learn?

Well, I posted the survey about sprite quantity vs quality and the response was overwhelmingly in favour of quality. Which I'm quite pleased about as it gives me a bit more confidence to cut down the numbers. I just need to make sure what is there is all as good as can be. I've also got to train myself to be more discerning in not using all the good sprites. It's surprisingly difficult because when I'm creating and adding in the sprites for a scene, I often have many sprite candidates I can use that look great, and I really want to include them for that reason. But they aren't necessarily adding anything and in some cases, if I let an inconsistency through, they are hurting it. So it's a work in progress as I teach myself to be more ruthless.

With all that in mind, this week the progress has felt a bit slow. I revisited my SDXL checkpoints and generation parameters and spent some time experimenting both with old and new setups. Partly in an effort to maximise consistency and partly because I was having real difficulty getting it to produce images that I know it can do. I eventually identifying that a lighting lora I was using was severely limiting the range of what I could do with clothing and equipment on characters. So I've kicked that to the side. Which was good because I was getting seriously worried I wasn't going to be able to start layering more equipment on characters in any way that was repeatable for consistency. Having discovered all that, I needed to revisit the generations I had already done for 0.35 and re-do a fair few of them. I've also picked up Luminar Neo from Humble Bundle. Interesting bit of software, it's a photo touch up suite with a bunch of quite interesting AI tools. Infuriatingly a lot of those AI tools will not work if it detects that the image is NSFW, it will refuse to do it. You can still use the local tools, but the really interesting stuff is off-limits for NSFW. I'm glad I only bought it on Humble Bundle, if I'd bought it at it's normal price and then found this out I'd have been livid. However, it's still useful because it allows me to re-light scenes, alter colours, change the sky box, add in mist and fog, denoise stuff etc etc. I've included a couple of examples of backgrounds that I've edited with it to see how much it can do. The non AI tools also allow limited relighting effects, which I've been using a lot as much of Alice's event takes place in the evening at a campfire, so being able to change the lighting on the sprites is nice.

I got Paintstorm via Humble Bundle a few weeks ago and that has been a really good addition. It allows me to nicely fix image issues like the seams around faces. When the base image is generated, the face is then overwritten. That sometimes leaves visible seams in a square around the face. It's particularly noticeable on the neck. But Paintstorm has a whole suite of really intuitive and easy to use tools that allow me to blend out these lines. It also allows me to draw on some nice effects for spells, and for the glowing eyes some characters have. Best of all, it will edit sprites without screwing them up. So many art apps either will remove the alpha layer and add a bad background in, or will add a rough outline all around the image. This helps because I can do all the sprite work in renpy, then go in afterwards and just work my way through the sprites, one at a time, colouring the eyes, removing the seams etc.

Once I finished playing around with SDXL and these new tools, I got to grips with getting sprites and animations into Alice's event and that's now about 80% done. So far, personally, I'm really happy with how Alice's event is coming along. I really enjoyed planning it out and writing it and the sprites and animations I've produced for it are working well. There probably still a few too many going in, but baby steps....

I think I'll have the last 20% done by tomorrow evening and then I'll switch to Emelia's event, which is shorter but will include a sex scene. Those can be quite time consuming to make. There is the method I used to make the images in 0.30 but I've also downloaded a lot of POV lora's to try to natively generate the image in it's entirety. That's sort of working, but the issue with native generation using lora's (rather than feeding it an existing image and telling it to apply the usual character generation parameters I use to create something similar) is that they are trained on porn. And porn stars tend to have a certain look, which isn't very often the natural girl or boy next door look. So these lora's tend to produce stuff that isn't really what I'm after. But there is some potential with them for sure.

I've included some screens from some of the stuff in Alice's event, including a couple of before and after shots of creating a sprite and editing a background.

I think what you do is pretty cool, man. I'm an old fart and I'm still amazed by what AI can do. One of my main critiques would be the aforementioned (lack of) consistency, but coming from the time where video games had a total of 200 pixels, NPC's faces sometimes didn't even have a nose and whole games were made using 5 textures, this is all awesome to me. And lame as it may sound I really like the story and world building. You have set up a world where you could go down a thousand different paths.

I do hope that you get around to, at some point, redo some more artwork from the beginning of the game, as that is where new players will start and will make up their mind about the quality. The jump in quality is very noticeable and it would be a shame if people quit this game not knowing how good chapter 2 is.

Keep at it man, this game is good stuff.

in my oppinion, the speed at with MC has something "going on" with his family members seems just right. the sparks are slowly starting to fly but they still rly feel like family... barely even realizing that something is happening as they have never seen each other that way. the good kind of slowburn
