debug file is popping up saying that "this system can't find the specified file" (ox2). tried all the usual fixes that im aware of bbut the game isn't starting.

Using winrar? Try going to options > name encoding > japanese before extracting and try again.

No, though there are scenes where she's held down in various angles during battle

One of the Tags is "animated". I don't know if it changes later, but the first scenes I encountered aren't animated.
Shaking the camera a bit and switch between pictures isn't "animated" for me.

I did specify only some scenes are animated, it's mostly if you lose to the boses at the end of each story arc

Yeah the image files are huge + it has animated elements + I am just realising I left the image files in there twice, so I'm going to reupload as it should be nearer 2gb. Fixed, thanks for pointing that out, I shouldn't upload sleep deprived..

I was hoping for a nice little game to play now and then. Unfortunately, the fun of the game was spoiled for me by this button smashing in sync with attacks. What a pity about the 3GB download.

If you change it to easy mode you don't really have to smash anything, it just increases the time window and reduces the number of commands... you only have to press like one button per attack, it's easy.
