I usually don't comment about the overall integrity of games, but I also feel like giving my opinion would appear as jumping the rising dissent and:
The art is very well-made and I appreciate the settings where this story is set. Those two are good points from where a game can begin;
The paywall is cringe. I understand the need to promote the need of funding this project and I understand that there is some interest over the fact the dev wanted to do something about Dota. But going overboard (to which many users have mentioned a resemblance to EA/Activision and I would add Bethesda) is going to do more harm than good for the project.
If there is a genuine interest, then for the sake of not making it appear a 'scam' a reconstruction of the paywall is needed! No, I don't think the term 'scam' is going overboard considering that right now 15$ pledge gives you the power to 'Save' and a new scene (only one).
I'm not much in game developing, so I will not portray myself as an expert of the subject, but even I, a mere user in this forum, can see that this is far too extreme. Right now, as far as I've seen from the current patch and awful paywall, I will certainly avoid this thread for some time (possibly months, if not years).
