The idea is for immersion, that it's easier to 'project' yourself onto the character if it doesn't have distinguished features.

Dudes stop making a mess. Its not a cost, its early access. And yeah maybe its quite lame to hide saves behind a paywall but author did it to give himself a new start, maybe (probably not but maybe) hes a new man now and after this awkward start he will pull out better. Anyways ive always dreamed of dota game for some reason and thank you for making two of them. Really love dota for some weird reason.

Id like to shit on the dev too but seeing as how 2d games die (Zero G, Gem Blast as it finished because of lack of support, Goddess Realms, etc) or games with lot of work on them not getting the support it deserves (Again Gem Blast and Warriors of Legend) I cant fault the dev for doing what he can to profit. If I feel bad for how the market barely supports 2D games compared to 3dcgs then I cant imagine how it should be for the devs that go through it.
Just hope the dev someday make a harem dota 2 game with a male protag.

Thats because males dont matter, they might as well be flying dicks. For the male protag one yeah as the other user said the lack of features is meant for you to fill in.

I figured that's the reason but it sure as hell doesn't work for me. I tried several games with this style and they all make me want to puke, especially when it's clear that the artist is not very good at making male characters. Might as well give the woman a dildo and let her work it solo.

I don't get how they can try to justify it, honestly.

It's always been their dream to make money milking people for a blatant IP ripoff of Dota2 characters in an adult game, but since that didn't generate enough income to begin with (1100+ a month, according to patreon) they now have to resort to selling the ability to save and load the game as a patreon exclusive? Alright.

The art is good, but not good enough to pay a monthly subscription to save or load in a game that will have 5-10 minutes of content added every few months.

Was a pirate I was kinda disappointed to discover some scenes are locked off forever. I'm perfectly fine with time-gating since well we are getting stuff for free afterall but this a shame (even if an understandable one).

That being said good idea on using Electron for the game, nifty little thing you got going here, runs much smoother than the most popular game engines used for porn games and lets you do pretty much anything.

I made a post about that some time ago, and moreover - I want to make an option for other tier patrons to get these scenes. So this is a viable purpose in our task list. But it's not an easy task - we need to make an entire database, keep it and watch it works correctly. Currently, this is out of our skills, so I can't say how much time it will take. Anyway, we already made own engine to make this game, so I think we could handle this too.

You can just have a generated code for gallery or version scenes, TwoSides used to do that and it didn't hurt it too much. This is the way to have patrons not lose all the "secret scenes" they already paid for. There are many ways and honestly you have been working in this industry long enough to have decided "maybe I will create simple unlock mechanic to not screw over the people who pay my bills" before scrapping all your previous work to create something new. In my opinion if you wanted to make more money this move will have the exact opposite effect.

Aye, as a consumer there's one thing that would make me entirely ignore anything that a developer does, and that's try to assault my finances.

Konami and selling save slots for Metal Gear Survive, or Destiny 2 when they released an expansion 3 weeks after the base game was available on PC and then locked PC players out of content they already had access to.

I haven't considered another konami product or even thought of playing destiny 2 again since then. But I'll never forget it.

I usually don't comment about the overall integrity of games, but I also feel like giving my opinion would appear as jumping the rising dissent and:
The art is very well-made and I appreciate the settings where this story is set. Those two are good points from where a game can begin;
The paywall is cringe. I understand the need to promote the need of funding this project and I understand that there is some interest over the fact the dev wanted to do something about Dota. But going overboard (to which many users have mentioned a resemblance to EA/Activision and I would add Bethesda) is going to do more harm than good for the project.

If there is a genuine interest, then for the sake of not making it appear a 'scam' a reconstruction of the paywall is needed! No, I don't think the term 'scam' is going overboard considering that right now 15$ pledge gives you the power to 'Save' and a new scene (only one).

I'm not much in game developing, so I will not portray myself as an expert of the subject, but even I, a mere user in this forum, can see that this is far too extreme. Right now, as far as I've seen from the current patch and awful paywall, I will certainly avoid this thread for some time (possibly months, if not years).

So the creator(s) of this took Luna's Dota2 sprite, somehow managed to make it look less sexy (idk how they accomplished that?), and then on top of that, made you pay for basic shit in-game.
